here's something that the Nat'l Taxpayers Union released 
last week concerning the disparate health care initiatives
under review by the 5 major commitees in congress that have
some degree of oversite responsibility.

they actually studied different areas, like cost, taxes, 
limitations on access, price controls, spending caps, doctor 
choice, etc.   here is one thing they reported.  they looked 
for the number of times 'control' words were used, words
that are punitive, or limit personal freedoms, or punish behavior
that people currently do today (like choose a doctor) regarding 
their health care.

number of times word is used in each plan:

i'm awfully tempted to make a comment about individual freedoms
and liberty, but i wouldn't want to prejudice your observations.

high school students in california must pass an american
history course prior to graduation.   last year the requirement
was ammended to require only post-spanish american war history,
so they may not know why we have a july 4th.  if you see a youngster,
take a moment and explain it to them.  liberty is a precious thing 
that many americans have died for and many others around the world 
are willing to die to obtain.

do the fireworks ever remind you of a rocket's red glare?
