I am not sure if this is the right place to place this but this
conference cameto mind last night as I came across my brothers resume.
He is a Baptist Youth Minister. He is now located in Dallas/Ft. Worth
area and is looking to find a permanent church location. It is my
hope, maybe not the Holy Spirit's, that he be located in the New
England area, Eastern Mass. As I said, that is my hope and he has
indicated that he would love it as well if the Spirit determined that
this is the place where he is called.
He has recently graduated from the Criswell College with a double major
of Biblical Studies & Counseling. He has many years of experience with
the youth in various parts of the country prior to his latest studies
as well as the church he is in now in Texas.
I hope that this notice is not too late, as he has been offered two
positions that he is looking at now, one in Cleveland Ohio, and the
other, Atlanta Ga. As of this past weekend, 11/6/94, I believe taht
he has not accepted either.
If there is a Baptist Church out there that is looking for a person to
bring the joy of the Lord to the youth of your community, I truly
believe that this man, his Wife and Daughter will do that, no matter
where. I believe him to be truly blessed by the Lord...
God Bless
Charlie

His Ministry Objective: ( copied from his resume - any mistakes are probably
mine in the retyping process )
===============================================================================
The ministry that I believe God has called me to is that of young
people and their families. I feel the greatest meed for our churches in the
days ahead will be in the area of family ministry. We now live in a world that
has given up on the family unit and family values as a viable option. I am
convinced that God instituted the family and seeks to direct the church who
dares to stand in the gap and proclaim sound Biblical principles to otherwise
overwhelming assaults by this world's ideologies. I am convinced this is the
type of ministry that God has called me into for a lifetime.
The type of ministry I envision, and have implemented, involves
parental interaction with their young people; at social functions, in planning
meetings, activities in the homes, ministry activities, praying and worshiping
together, and regular meetings with parents that inform them and give me a
gage of the overall ministry impact.
The conviction of our hearts, my wife and myself, is that we are called
to help guide our most valuable resources, our Young People. They are
entrusted to us by God. Each one is precious and has an eternal potential for
greatness under God. Each one is precious and has an eternal potential for
greatness under God's plan for their life. Young People are entrusted with a
message to a time we will not see. With all our hearts we desire for the
message to be that of our glorious savior Jesus Christ.
