Would anyone like to share their insight
on Matthew 13:22-33 where the Lord walks on water? I
    	call this W.O.W.-101, ( walking on water 101 ).

Nope, not all wet. I am absolutely serious. I can
think of more than several ways to look at what happened,
and their important applications in real life, inclusive
    	of::

    		- walking over the waters of problems
    		- learning to walk in the Spirit
    	        - walking over the waters of the dragon ( revelations )
		- faith principles

In fact, I believe that at one point or another in
every Christian's life, we are all called to lift our hands,
look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and
to walk on the water! I believe it.

    >In fact, I believe that at one point or another in

You see, because I believe that we are to "walk on water" each and
everyday. To do so requires that our eyes are set on Him, when Peter
looked away he began to sink.

    	Amen, Dan!
    				Revelations 11:15 says, "the serpent"
( the devil is the serpent ), "cast out of his mouth water
as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be
carried away of the flood." What water was that? I do not
believe that it was literally H2O. Water is allegorical.
In Ephesians 5:26 it says, "that he ( Jesus ) might sanctify
and cleanse it by the washing of water by the word". Also,
Jesus spoke in John 4 and John 7 about "living water". I.E.,
"He that believes in me, out of his belly shall flow rivers
    	of living water."

Again, Revelations 11:15 -"The serpent cast out of his mouth
water as a flood." (That it is not my kind of water!) Well,
    	- I believe that the devil is trying to flood the earth with
unholy waters of deception, strife, anger, fear, hatred,
wrath, selfishness, pride using soulical spirits which speak
to the minds of those who are open and willing to listen.
Naieve, ignorant, and wicked people are OPEN to that - and
they will have words from the devil on their tongue because
that is what he places in their mind. It is in the realm
of the mind. There is a flood of soulical garbage that we,
as Christians, have to walk over. ( And, at the same time,
be prepared to fight for the Lord in the Spirit as good
soldiers of the cross, and sow the powerful Word of God! )

In music, some teenagers like Ozzie Osbourne,
Black Sabbath, Kiss, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Rolling
Stones, etc. on the very extreme end of the spectrum, - but
even the softer music of, -for instance, James Taylor, there
are subliminal suggestions such as "Don't let me be lonely
tonight". Musical suggestions and influence attempt to do
the reverse of praise and worship. Instead of trying to lift
people's spirits, - they try to drag them down, and get people
caught up and knotted up in the soulical realm of _emotions_.

If you turn of the television, will you
feel a letdown in your spirit? Listening to the opinion of
the abortionists, and the media liberal humanists, and seeing
the beer commercials, and listening to the latest atrocities?
When does the television media ever report the good news? It
    	is focused on the bad!!!

If you open a newspaper, will you feel a little
bit of worldly crud? What do you see there? Horoscopes, the
funny papers, the sports, the latest R-rated movie ads, or more
of what you saw on the t.v.?

If you go and sit in the cafeteria, and listen
to the conversations of worldly men, will you feel a sense of
defilement as they discuss their parties, and their carousings?

If you go to a convenience store, do you notice
all the various magazines? Do you notice that the crud level
goes from soft crud to extra-specially cruddy?! You can get
trash magazines, or megatrash. But, will you see anything good
there? If you go into SOAPBOX, ( well... never mind. )

If your mind is open to it, you can easily hear
spirits who would love to speak to you in the soulical realm.
Evil spirits have to be put in their place. You have to tell
them to "shut up in the Name of Jesus" as an exercise of faith
in order to shut them up. Some people not knowing how to do
that have ended up in a nut-house, or committed crimes, or have
ended up in a nut-house. They were flooded. Their mind could
not handle it, and they went over the edge. They did not know
    	how to cope.

There is an abominable flood of junk out there
that is intentionally purposed to literally sweep people away.

We, as Christians, every single day, have to
walk over these waters. Some of the waters are fast currents,
some are deep sinkholes, some are waves, some are vortexes, -
but we walk over it by faith!!

    	BTW, Dan...

Perhaps, we could talk offline some time,I
think you may know my wife Theresa (Pacific) Griffis. Did
you go to St. Mary's parish in Marlboro, Ma.?! At a Home-
schooler Conference at the A/G last year I think she gave
you my pen, -and, well, I want it back,( -just kidding :-)).

Why was it impossible for Peter _not_ to walk on water?
    ------------------------------------------------------
Because he had the Word of God on it. Since God's
Word returns not void, ( Isa.55:11 ), and cannot fail,
it was actually impossible for Peter _not_ to successfully
walk on water, ( at least for awhile, anyways ). The
supernatural Word of God took precedence, and suspended
the law of gravity, ( similar to when Joshua told the
sun to stand still, -and it did ).

Why did Peter have enough faith to walk on water?
    	------------------------------------------------
In and of himself, he did not, but...

He was yoked up with the faith of Jesus Christ,
and Jesus had enough faith for him and Peter both! Peter
supplied a _little_ of the faith for the miracle, ( remember,
Jesus frequently said, O ye of _little_ faith ), and Jesus
supplied the rest of the necessary faith. ( Sort of like
they pooled their faith together. ) Is "faith pooling"
acceptable? Sure. Matthew 18:19 speaks about "two or more
agreeing". They agreed, and came up with enough faith
to achieve the miracle. BTW, faith is the money of heaven,
( James mentions the poor who are "rich in faith". The
faith cost was reached, - and the power/dunamis of God
    	was released for the miracle!!!

Why did Peter fall into the water?
    	---------------------------------
Comparative scriptures: Genesis 3:6, ( temptation
    	of Eve ), Matthew 4, ( temptation of Jesus ), 1 John 2:16,
( lusts of the flesh, lusts of the world, pride of life" ),
Romans 4:19, ( Abraham "considered not his own body ).
Peter "saw the wind", and "he was afraid". Peter considered
his own body. What he felt, heard, saw with his natural
senses created fear and doubt. Furthermore, Jesus responded
to Peter by saying, "Why did you doubt?" Well, that gives
the answer right there in a nutshell, because, "Whatsoever
is not of faith is sin", ( Romans 14:23b ), AND... when
Peter doubted he was sinning, ( he did not know it, and
would have been insulted if you had told him that he was ),
but he was. The minute doubt crept in, and because there
was sin in it, the faith of Jesus Christ pulled back from
the sin. Peter was then trying to support himself on his
own faith. Jesus will not honor or yoke up with a prayer
that is sinful, ( - regardless of how many might be in
    	agreement on the matter ).

As for the demonstration, well, my shoes
are sort of wet, - so you'll have to wait until around
January, when I am fully persuaded that I will be able to
    	do it.
