Hi, I haven't formally introduced myself yet, but I came across this conference while searching for a conference similar to the "God Calling conference". I do not know if any of you are familiar with that particular conference or not. What it provided me was a command procedure that is run automatically each night and accessed a file that would pull up a spiritual note for me that I found in my MAIL account in the morning. I really enjoy the intent, but am not too enamored with the premise of the particular conference. It is based on a 'dialogue' that a couple of ladies had with God back in Olde England. It is supposedly His speaking to these ladies. What I really would like to have would be direction to a procedure that would load a verse from scripture into my MAIL each day. In that way, I would be certain that the LORD would be speaking to ME !! If anyone knows where I might find something like that, I would appreciate it! Thanks, b

Hello, It sounds as if you want a copy of 'WISDOM'. This is an .exe, which has a base of Biblical texts. When it's run, it generates a 'random' number to offer one of these texts. It is available in KJV, NAS, NIV, and in Spanish.... You can copy it from: ICTHUS::SYS$PUBLIC:WISDOM_KJV.EXE ICTHUS::SYS$PUBLIC:WISDOM_NAS.EXE ICTHUS::SYS$PUBLIC:WISDOM_NIV.EXE ICTHUS::SYS$PUBLIC:WISDOM_RVV.EXE I usually run the KJV on login, but it would be easy to set up a batch job, to mail you an overnight perk. But ... In that way, I would be certain that the LORD would be speaking to ME !! Hmmm. It's still better to go right into the Word. The full meat is better than the VMS random number generator!
