    Dear Heavenly Father,
    
    Just want to praise you for the miracle you have worked in Kevin! 
    Praise be to you for your mercies and unending love.  
    
    I ask now, Lord, that you would continue to heal Kevin's body, guide
    the surgeon's hands and touch the hearts around him with comfort.
    
    In Jesus' name, Amen.
    
    

Ah! LORD!, 
	- Whose hand placed the stars in distant space; 
	- Who cares for the fall of the sparrow, 
We praise You for Your great love, which brought You here in the weakness
of humanity; to experience the stages of human birth and life....  You Who
upholds creation that it remains to this day of salvation, we lift before
You dear Kevin, LORD, who's weakness of flesh has been so marvellously
ministered to over the past days, out of Your loving mercy. 

Holy LORD, we would stand in Your presence and in the Name of Your dear
Son, our Saviour, the LORD Jesus Christ, ask for that healing touch to
continue, to be a witness to Your Glorious Name.  We ask, LORD, for
protection for Kevin against all evil forces, and for Your power to be
poured out - displayed in his life, not only through this trial, but in 
days to come, that he may be one upon whom is the anointing of Your 
presence; the assurance of Your love!

Thank You, LORD, that all things are open to You, even the hearts of 
men.  Enfold in Your arms, dear LORD, all those caring for Kevin, that they 
will know a deep assurance of Your purposes in and through this time, which 
will witness of Your Self to those around, and reap glory to Your great 
Name.

What can separate us from the love of God? - in all these things we are
more than conquerors through Him Who loved us!  Hallelujah LORD, We give
You praise!!!

    As I pray for those involved in this situation, and consider words of
    encouragement, a song we sang last night seems so appropriate that I
    include the words here, written by W. Cowper (and thanks to my wife for
    providing them over the phone).  May these words bring hope,
    encouragement, and trust, as you face these times.  (In case anybody
    wants to add a melody in their heart as they consider the words, we
    often sing this song to the tune of "O God our help in ages past".)

    God moves in a mysterious way
      His wonders to perform:
    He plants His footsteps in the sea,
      And rides upon the storm.

    Deep and unfathomable mines
      Of never-failing skill,
    He treasures up His bright designs,
      And works His sovereign will.

    Abba, Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus with humility
    and meekness of heart and acknowledge that You alone are sovereign,
    and that by Your almighty power all things are sustained from moment
    to moment.  You are in complete control of all of Your Creation, and
    though things occur within it that grieve You, nothing at all happens
    apart from your will.

    You cradle all of Your children in Your loving arms, mercifully
    overlooking our sins for Your Name's sake, and working by Your Holy
    Spirit to reveal those things within us that are not of You.  You are
    the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and
    the Prince of Peace.  You are also the God who Provides and the Great
    Physician.

    I ask, Lord, that You would cover Kevin and his family with Your
    love, so that they might feel your presence and be comforted.  I also
    ask that You would lay your healing hand upon Kevin and fully deliver
    him from this tumor, as well as healing any other region of his body,
    soul, and spirit that may not be well.  Let there be no
    after-effects, so that Satan might not be left with a foothold.  May
    this be done for Your glory alone, for You alone are worthy to
    receive glory.

    In Jesus' most precious name,

	Rick and Melinda,

	As the mother of a young baby, and the wife of a man that has
	undergone two craniotomies in the last two years (a tumor
	each time), my heart cries out to God to move in a mighty way 
	for Kevin and you.

	I rejoiced to hear the news that the tumor is not attached to
	any major portion of the brain!  

	I pray in agreement with you.

	Lord, touch all the members of this family right now.  Let them
	feel your peace and comfort in the midst of the storm.  Father,
	I ask for complete healing in Kevin's body from head to toe.  Remove
	the tumor from his midst, and restore him fully and completely to
	perfect health.  Guide the hands of every doctor, nurse, and
	anesthesiologist that touches him.  Bless the hospital staff with
	wisdom.  I pray that the surgery is a 100% success, with no 
	complications whatsoever.  I pray for a swift healing in Kevin's
	body after the operation.  Lord, let your love flow freely through
	Rick and Melinda, reminding them that you have not given us a spirit
	of fear, but of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind.  May they cling to
	that knowledge throughout the day Friday.  We lean upon your promises
	Father, that whatsoever we ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive.
	Let your name be magnified as you, the Great Physician, do *Your*
	surgery on Kevin.  Glory and honor and praises to you Father, who is
	able to keep us from falling.

     This is being written by a man who is 37 years old, and has walked with
     the L_RD for over 21 years. I tell you that only so you will understand
     that the question that I ask and its answer are not trivial in my eyes.

     Kevin, do you know what is the most magnificent thing I have every come
     to know?

     Don't *ever* forget that, dear brother. It is the most precious gift
     that G_d has or ever will give you. It cost Him *everything* -
     including His own life - to give it to you, but He gave it willingly.

    Though not as prayerfully eloquent as the others who have written here,
    I just wanted to let you know that you and Kevin have a class of 25
    9-10 year old kids praying for you.  My wife Sandy and I have been
    teaching these kids since last summer and the focus has been prayer. 
    Believe me when I tell you these kids are serious and have a heart for
    God.  One thing I have learned over the last year is that the prayers
    of a child have a very special place in God's heart.  And it goes
    without saying that Sandy and I are praying also.

    "The Thursday Night Prayer Group" of Worcester, Mass. will continue to
    lift Kevin up in prayer, as we have done for this pass two important
    weeks. May Kevin and his family recieve the peace of the Holy Spirit,
    may Kevin be healed in the name of JESUS, and may the lord GOD be
    gloryified and praised.

    Dear Friends,
    
         Does anyone know the out come of Kevin's operation or condition at
    this time. Our group prayed for him at each of our meetings and at
    least one woman member was moved to the inocents of this child but
    seriousness of this situation. She has been in prayer daily and has
    asked me to update her on kevin if I could. I will apreciate any and
    all reports. Thank to all in advance.

    Not only was surgery successful, they took Kevin home 2 days after the
    surgery!!!!
    
    They do not know the extent/if any of brain damage, so we do need to
    continue in prayer over this child.

    Kevin is having his stiches removed today and discussions will be had
    for the next move (Chemo, radiation, or what all)  The child is feeling
    well.

    Kevin Manley/Gross-
    Kevin (age 1 1/2) has completed two months of chemotherapy following
    his surgery in March. An MRI taken last Friday showed "normal". He will
    continue with the chemotherapy for four more months. Meantime, with
    physical therapy, his left arm and leg are gaining strength and
    agility.
    
    Pray for Kevin's continued healing according to God's will and purpose.
    Continue to pray for Rick, Melinda, and Rich (age 8) as they struggle
    against fatigue, discouragement, and burnout. Pray that God will renew
    their spirit and focus their expectations on Him who never fails.

    I have been told that the last MRI little Kevin had showed absolutely
    NO SIGNS OF CANCER ANYWHERE!!!!!  The child is still under Kemo (sp?)
    and last time was really ill.  Please, first of all, praise the Lord
    that there is NO CANCER, and pray that the side effects will be diminished
    to the point of no side effects.

    I forgot something VERY IMPORTANT!  Kevin's mom, Melinda, will be
    WITNESSING TO THIS WHOLE MIRACLE in her church this coming Sunday!
