    This month the Billy Graham Mission World is taking place in Europe.
    The main meetings take place in Essen, Germany, and are transmitted by
    satellite in a number of languages to hundreds of meeting places all
    over Europe.  Thousands of churches are preparing their people to bring
    non-believers to the meetings; they're also training counsellors who
    will minister to those who respond to Christ at the meetings; they're
    preparing to receive and pastor newcomers to the churches; and there
    are many others arangements to be made.
    
    This is an outstanding opportunity to increase the Kingdom, and I ask
    you all to join forces with your brothers and sisters in praying
    regularly for this event.  The dates are 17-21 March.  The first
    evening is a dedication service aimed primarily at committed
    Christians; the other evenings are designed for Christians to bring
    family and friends.
    
    Please pray for:
    
    o	Those non-believers whose hearts God is already preparing, that
    they will have open hearts and minds, and will actually come to a
    meeting with their friends.
    
    o	That those who turn to Christ as a result of this mission will go
    on in firm faith to grow in the knowledge of Christ through the rest of
    their lives, and be a blessing to others.
    
    o	Protection for the practical arrangements:
    	the main meetings in Essen,
    	the local meetings all over Europe,
    	the training of counsellors,
    	the broadcasting, translation and technical arrangements,
    	the money needed,
    	the publicity.
    
    o	The courage of individuals in the churches who have perhaps never
    shared their faith with anyone before (there are many!) and who must
    dare to "make fools of themselves for Christ" in front of family,
    friends and colleagues.
    
    o	Spiritual and physical strength for Dr Graham; he has Parkinson's
    Disease and needs to be on top form for the duration of the mission.
    
    o	Protection at all times from attack from Satan "the father of all
    lies" who loves to disrupt or discourage evangelism.
    
    Here in the south of France we give thanks that this mission is already
    producing a new sense of unity and co-operation between the many
    churches, both French-speaking and English-speaking.
    
    All over Europe, this mission depends on the earnest and frequent
    prayers of all God's people - please join us in this effort!

    Footnote:
    On the Cote d'Azur there will be two meeting-places taking broadcasts
    in English (in Cannes and Monaco), and three others taking broadcasts in
    French (in Antibes and Nice).  One of the churches hosting English
    broadcasts is Holy Trinity English Church in Cannes, where I'm an
