| One thing I forgot to put in my previous reply -- Charles, I will
especially miss your news and prayer requests for China. There are
currently two Christians (one from my place of fellowship, another from
a similar fellowship in Springfield, IL -- except that they were just
married here this past January) that we know of (I know there are many
more) who are serving the Lord as English teachers in China (they are
in the Nanchung province). I know of a couple of other individuals who
are praying about the same. When visiting with us in January, they
shared much about how the Lord is doing a quick work in many parts of
China. I know you have a special burden for this country that is very
much in need of the gospel, and I rejoice to be able to share in that
burden with you.

future if and when I have messages about Christians in China etc., I
can certainly send email to someone to post for me back here :) I
won't be a reader, but our hearts will be in the same place always I
hope :)
Please pray for me. It's a new challenge for me, work-wise and even
spiritually. (By the way, one more thing about myself to say, for you
to pray - I'll be greedy in asking for prayers, since there won't be
many more chances for me to do that here - I will be getting married in
October. A lot of headaches around that process, please pray for me
and my fiancee Betty, serious :)
Thanks again!

Tim,
You are one reason I am so avid about presenting Bible Truth. You won't
have this type of forum anymore, which will have shown you more about the
practical different Christian/non-Christian/pseudo-Christian faiths than
you could have gained from text books or traveling to different religious
organizations. The Bible is a Sure Guide and will not fail. As you go,
remember what Jesus said: "You must follow Me." Know Who Jesus is, though.
God bless you, Tim.

Folks, this is it for me. I wish all you the best of luck here
in Digital or in someplace else. As I said before, I pray that none
of you have to go through this process! I thought it wouldn't be
that difficult, but I was completely wrong. Cleaning out your desk
after 16 years is really the pits! Lots of little notes tucked away
here and there that only bring back good memories.
I'll always remember this conference and those who have taken
part here. Keep up the good work, and as Christians, try to keep
an open mind, and at the same time, stay on the straight and narrow.
As I've said before, the moderators of this conference don't get
enough credit. They do an admirable job and stay levelheaded even
though it is a thankless job...and believe me, being a referee, I
know all about thankless jobs.
Don't bother replying to this note cause when I exit here, I
will be exiting Digital and won't get a chance to read what you
wrote, so save the disk space for more important issues.
As always, the invitation still stands. Anyone passing through
Springfield Mass, is more than welcome to give me a buzz.. I'm the
only Gusic in the phonebook.
I do have Andrew's address and if and when I get back on my feet,
I'll drop him a line and he can let you folks know what is going on.
I will ask one favor of all you folks before I go, and that is
to pray for me and my family. I need prayer support for guidence
in these tough times. As always, my head is saying one thing while
my heart is pushing me in another direction. So, I would appreciate
any and all prayers directed at my family.
Other than that, I guess I'll be seeing ya'll in eternity!

| Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This will most probably be my last week working for Digital.
Officially, I will still be a Digital employee until June 30.
After this week, it is very unlikely that I will have access to the
network (or even an office).
My work-load over the years has not permitted me to contribute to
this conference as I would have liked to. I really value that the
time and effort that people put into this conference in expounding
and explaining the Truth.
As some of you are aware, I have faced some difficult decisions
concerning my future over the last six months or so. God has been
so good in guiding me in these decisions.
In 1992, I started to sense that God was calling me into full-time
Christian ministry. This sense of God's call became a conviction
in my life sometime in June 1992. In August 1992, I publically
surrendered my life to God's call. The last 18 months have been a
time of great upheaval in my life as I have adjusted to God's
call. They have also been a real blessing as I have come to
experience God's loving-kindness in so many pratical ways. The
Lord truly will provide for those who earnestly seek and obey
Him.
God has placed a real burden in my heart for the lost of this
world. I believe that God has been and is continuing to equip me
for a teaching/evangelistic ministry. I believe that I have a
responsibility to work with God in preparing myself for this
ministry. Consequently, I have applied to Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. I am currently
waiting for my application to be approved. I plan on starting at
the Seminary in late August (start of the Fall semester).
I will be staying in Munich until sometime in June. In the
May/June timeframe I plan on taking a short mission trip (probably
about 4 weeks) somewhere in Europe. At the end of June, I will
return to the UK for about a month to spend sometime with my
parents. Sometime in August I will travel to the US. There is a
slight possibility that I may travel to Kentucky via New England.
Until end of June, I can be contacted at:
Bayrischzellerstrasse 25
81539 Munich
Germany
tel: +49-89-692-8183
After June (until I get settled stateside) I can be contacted via
my parents:
11, Pont Adam Crescent,
Ruabon,
Wrexham,
CLWYD. LL14 6ED.
U.K.
+44-978-821572
If you would like to be part of my ministry as a prayer partner please
send your address via e-mail to HERR::CROSBIE.
I'll probably be around in the conference and contactable via mail
until Thursday or Friday this week.

Graham

| Like Graham Friday is my last day here at Digital and I wanted to just
say goodbye to all the folks here.
I believe that God has been preparing me for a long time for this move.
While I don't know what God has in store for me next, or where, I'm
excited to know that God is the center of my life and is planning my
footsteps. I have been praying that God would move me into a
work/living situation that would allow me to be more involved in the
work that God would have me do. I believe that my leaving Digital is
part of that process. I'm excited about being able to spend more time
with him and the hope of finding a job more suited to my skills and
talents. While I have an idea of where that might be it's only a guess
on my part.
It is with sadness that I say goodbye to the friends I've made here at
Digital and the networking that has helped me keep connect to folks. I
wish all of you the best and pray that God will order your lives to his
perfect will.

Today is my last day at Digital and I've got a few minutes while my
wife is in transit to pick me up.
I'm glad to have a few minutes to say goodbye and to thank all of
you who participate in this notes file, especially the moderators for
their extra effort in maintaining it.
Your discussions, love, and concern for one another, has been a daily
encouragement to me. I've extracted and read this notes file daily for
the last 4 years. Periodically I would join in a particular discussion
but not often, so you know me less than I know you.
Perhaps there are a number of us who are primarily "read-only", but I
believe that your ministry to us has been great so keep it up!
Keep the faith! Christ will return soon! At that time the glory of the
sons of God will be revealed, we will all be united, all trials and
sorrows will be past. Praise His Name!

Friday, July 1, 1994, is my last day with Digital. After 18 years,I
look back and remember the good times, the trying times and the times that
were no fun at all. The first 10 years (1976-1986) were the best of times.
We were all WAY too busy and having too much fun to complain about it. The
years that followed (1987-1990) were not as much fun, but we all had the hope
that the once great DEC would pull out of the hard times and regain its
championship position. These last 4 years were the hardest of all. Leadership
changed and so did the company and culture we had all worked so hard to build.
Our corporate morality went by the wayside, to be replaced with a different
set of rules. As a fortunate recipient of possibly one of the last TFSO
packages, I am thankful. Thankful not only for some small bit of financial
help, but thankful for all of the great people I have met along the way.
Thankful to have been a small part of the rise of one of the legends of the
computer industry.
I am looking forward to spending a lot of quality time with my new
bride and visiting friends and relatives this summer. I don't intend to
leave Phoenix. If any anybody finds themselves in the Valley of the Sun and
would like to catch a cup of coffee or even lunch, by all means give me a call.
I will not claim to be retired yet, but my goal is to reach semi-retired status
as soon as possible! What happens next, I do not know. This I do know for
sure: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28".
Thanks for helping make these 18 years worthwhile. I send all of my
best wishes and prayers out to each of you, that your future might be settled
and successful.
Sincerely,
Richard Czarnecki

| Daniel 2
31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose
brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was
terrible.
32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver,
his belly and his thighs of brass,
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the
image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken
to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors;
and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the
stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole
earth.
.
.
.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and
part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the
strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the
kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle
themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another,
even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Titus 3:9-11
9 But shun foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and
disputes about the Law; for they are unprofitable and worthless.
10 Reject a factious man after a first and second warning.
11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self
condemned.
I will be leaving the 13th, I wasn't really looking, but 1 hour after I
was given the news that my promotion and raise were frozen, I ran into
a person who was looking for a sales support tech for another company.
I called, and luckily my reputation preceded me and I was basically
told I had the position. I did wait a week, did some serious praying,
and really feel a peace and comfort about it.
BTW - This is the only conference that recommends you look directly at
the Son. OK, it sounds better than it reads, my puns are prettly low.
Love and peace to all

| Dear ::CHRISTIAN brothers and sisters,
I have much to share...so bear with the line length, please ;)
Rejoice with me! The Lord has opened a door for me to attend Zion Bible
Institute as a full-time student, beginning this Fall 1994! *&^) While
future direction is still a bit unclear, I am excited about waiting upon
Him, seeking His face, studying His Word in ways I haven't known till now.
The school has a heavy emphasis on Bible instruction, stressing practical
ministry experience and service to the Body of Christ. It is located near
Providence, RI (the former Barrington College grounds).
As I haven't had much opportunity to be in the file due to workload this
past year, let me take a few moments to provide you some background.
Some of you know that I have been seeking the Lord's direction concerning
my life in a very focused way for almost a year now. God alone is to be
glorified in my responding to His invitation to get closer to Him. It is
the work of the living God in the person of the Holy Spirit that I have a
desire to serve Him in a more comprehensive fashion...I would *never* have
thought of going to Bible school, let alone attempt it, of my own accord.
What an amazing thing God has done! He took a rebellious, angry, scared
child...forgave her many sins, healed her hurts and scars from things that
would have otherwise destroyed her, restored to her joy and peace, and
filled her with the hope and faith that He could use her, yes, even her
for the building of His kingdom! God alone is to be glorified in this!
I've given my notice here at Digital; my last day will be August 12th. I
won't miss working for Digital (though after 14 years, I do miss "DEC," if
you get my drift). However, I will *miss* walking daily with each of you,
my friends and fellow servants in Christ. I'll miss your fellowship and
the joy that you often brought to me as we shared about Christ and His
working in our lives and in the lives of those around us. I've been
privileged to share your burdens and rejoice with you when there's been
something to celebrate. So many of you have been INSTRUMENTAL in my walk
with the Lord and been used by God to disciple me. I owe you a debt of
gratitude, friends.
This is but a temporary separation, as one day we'll soon stand as one
body before our Lord Jesus Christ. This has been a sweet preview of our
eternal relationship with our Lord. Meanwhile, continue to enjoy the
blessings of work and Digital notes ;) I may envy you your paycheck in a
couple of months *&^)
Finally, be of good cheer, beloved! For God is no respecter of persons.
If He can restore and rebuild my life, filling me with hope for the
future, He can do the same for you! If He can transform a drug-abusing,
promiscuous heathen like me, He can do the same (or better) for you! Maybe
this is being written for someone who is just awakening to the hope that
the Lord could do more, *be* more through him or her. Or perhaps another
may be encouraged to better understand that there truly is a PERSONAL,
living God -- interested in the lives of His children. Dare to BELIEVE --
we serve a GREAT GOD! HALLELUJAH!
A few of the verses that have meant much to me these past few months:
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "Plans to prosper
you, not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future." Jer. 29:11
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will
counsel you and watch over you." Psalms 32:8
"Teach me to do your will; for You are my God; may your Good Spirit lead
me on level ground." Psalm 143:10
"Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you fault-
less before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy...to the only
God our Saviour be glory, majesty, dominion and power, through Jesus
Christ our Lord, now and forevermore!" Amen. Jude 24-25
Thanks for letting me ramble on like this. I'll be around the net until
August 12th. I'll be poking in from time to time ...but feel free to say
hi by e-mail, if you'd like (LEDS::FIESTER).
In His Love,

It's been wonderful to be part of the Digital ::CHRISTIAN family.
Today is my last day and I'm closing up shop now. Had my exit
interview this morning and am just finishing up some last minute
activity here in Storage. I'm going to *miss* you all! I want to
especially thank the moderators of ::CHRISTIAN. You have been given a
wonderful, if challenging, assignment. Thank you for being faithful!
Thanks again for your encouragement, teaching, testimonies and sometimes
"iron-sharpening" *&^) Whatever happens with Digital, I'm grateful that
the Lord God remains faithful....He is our "refuge and strength, a very
present help in trouble." Psalms 46:1 I'll be praying for the Lord's
hand of blessing upon you all. Remember Jerm. 29:11 when things seem
uncertain....He has ordained your days, and the good works that you are
to do before the foundations of the world were ever laid. How's that
for encouraging promises! He's truly in control.
Should you want to keep in touch, there's always U.S. Postal snail
mail to my permanent address:

I haven't got my school address as yet, but I could probably be reached

attention. Should I ever get onto the Information Superhighway I'll
drop you an e-mail with my corresponding address.
God bless you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of
your faith. Love without measure or cost. Pray without ceasing. Do
good as much as it is in your power to do so. Pursue the Almighty God
and you will *NEVER* be disappointed!

| Well folks, it's finally come to this.
I have just been informed that due a restructuring of our group,
that my contract will not be renewed.
This means that my last day at Digital (unless something else
crops up in the meanwhile), will be Thursday 22nd December.
As the sole provider of income for our family, and with no
tangible reserves, and no redeundancy settlement (except for 3
weeks at the statutory level), this is going to prove a testing
and trusting time for us all. We would value your prayers - you
will not be alone as you pray as we are blessed with a number of
faithful prayer supporters both within and outside of our church
fellowship.
I will probably say this again, and I join with those who have
already said so, that I have greatly benefited from the depth of
fellowship within this conference. I have been constantly amazed
by the concept of global fellowship in this way, and trust that
God will continue to allow this "place" to continue to bring glory
and honour to his name through you his servants.
God bless

ahead.
Rather a nasty stroke, coming just at Christmas, too. Paul, may He put
great faith and joy in your hearts, with an assurance of His hand
guiding and providing every step of the way, to know yourselves as
hedged around and protected from every fear or attack by His love.

with each person that leaves us comes a new beginning for them. Part

Paul, God has wonderful things for you.. don't let Satan sting you with

| I want to thank all of you who have responded, "verbally" or
otherwise, to my news this week. This has been a
**real** encouragement to both me and Wendy - this conference
which serves as a tangible servant of the fellowship of believers
within Digital, has been and still is a very real blessing.
As I had a few minutes to spare in town the other lunchtime before
the coach departed back to DECpark, I spent these precious moments
in an otherwise empty church in the centre of town, where quiet
music emanated from an area within where they were selling candles
and Christmas cards. As I prayed and just soaked in the stillness,
I was made aware by the Lord that my situation is very similar to
that which I had read to Simon the night before from C S Lewis'
The Last Battle.
King Tirian of Narnia was in a furious battle with his enemies
atop a small hill, being gradually driven back towards a small hut
perched on the top of the hill. He knew that his enemies' god Tash
was inside the hut and anyone entering (and a few had already been
thrown in) would not reappear alive. Eventually he was forced by
the enemy through the door into the darkness and the door slammed
shut behind him - and at that same moment he was aware of a
beautiful glow as he realised that the child-kings and queens were
there, who quickly despatched Tash in the name of Aslan. (This is
probably all gobbledy-gook if you haven't read the Narnia
stories!).
I too face the prospect of peering into a darkness, entering the
darkness not knowing when a door will open leading the way out,
but I know that once in the darkness, God will presence himself in
his own special unique way.
My readings at the moment are focussing on the name "Immanuel" -
God with us
most appropriate at this time!
Paul

| Hi Paul,
I know 'The Last Battle'. It gives a very effective picture of how God can
turn what we see as 'disaster' into glory.... For those with self-centred,
hard hearts, the stable door was the door to their doom. For those with
hearts yielded to the LORD (in this case, Aslan), the stable door was the
door to paradise.
Someone relying on their own strength knows that the situation is beyond
their control. Someone relying on the LORD's strength knows that it is not
beyond His control - knows that it is not beyond His foreknowledge and
planning, in fact!
Paul, we were praying for you at the fellowship at lunch time as well.
We'll miss you.
God bless

yes, thanks for that Andrew - we were praying with others just
last night for some missionaries in France from our church, and
also meditating beforehand on Christmas themes. Wendy reminded us
that it was no accident that Jesus was born in the scruffy stable
at the back of an inn, just because they had got there too late
and all the rooms had been taken by folk who had arrived earlier -
God actually planned it that way!

The more I have thought about this the more the phrase has stuck in my

| I don't know if you want to consolidate 33, 188, 583, 592, and 598, or
if I should open my own Goodbye note. With so many of you leaving
for the holidays, I'll post my farewell in the following note. As you
may expect, it exceeds the 100-line *guideline*.
Counting today, I have 7 business days left as a Digital employee.
One of the frustration points is not knowing whether I'll have any
access after the new year; I may have some if I continue to do my
job here in the service of another company. In any event, after
December 31, I'll be an employee of another company and my access
to Digital will be on a contractual basis between Digital and my
new company. I wish I had more information, but *I* don't have the
information to give.
For those of you sticking around and not spending your vacation days,
I'll be on the net.

33.108 | Reasonable Service | TOKNOW::METCALFE | Eschew Obfuscatory Monikers | Tue Dec 20 1994 10:19 | 122 |
| Reasonable Service
I have served Digital for eight years. In that time, all of my
performance reviews had nothing less than Exceeds Job Requirements,
and my final review even saw a rise in my individual marks. In
addition to this job, I have spent time, energy, and resource in
notes conferences and in electronic mail. These were investments in
people and not merely indulgences for myself. I have had the
privilege of counseling people in need, encouraging people in the
Truth, and defending the Truth against heresy and misperception. I
have had the misfortune to mingle these with times of fruitless banter
(and by this I do not mean light-hearted, non-issue oriented
communication, which is worthwhile in relationship building).
I have grown more than I realize because of the debates; the iron has
sharpened the iron. I have grown because of the diversity of God's
children coming together to search the Scriptures and apply them to
our lives. I have grown also because of the false children and
anti-Christians by seeing the tactics and rationalizations they use
to discredit Scripture and the faith.
I moderated the Christian notes conference for a time and viewed it as
a responsibility to God and to you. I gave up moderating, but I never
gave up the responsibility. We are all called to be responsible to
each other.
I have several keywords that are themes in my life, such as
relationship, context, paradox, authority, definition, the Word, and
others.
o The meaning of life is in RELATIONSHIP. God's purpose in creating
us was to have a relationship with Him. God's message in the Bible
is to re-establish a relationship with fallen mankind. We exist to
have relationships.
o "A text without a CONTEXT is a pretext." This means that anything
taken out of its context can distort the true intent of the text. This
is a point against which we must be on constant guard and refute any
distortions of the Truth. It is not enough to study the Scriptures,
but we must study them properly.
o Predestination and free will coexist: PARADOX.
Being the greatest means being the servant of all: PARADOX.
Losing one's life for Christ means to find it in Christ: PARADOX.
The more love you give away, the more you will have: PARADOX.
o DEFINITION gives meaning. The WORD gives creative definition. The
WORD has AUTHORITY to DEFINE. I know that John 1:1 refers to Jesus
Christ, but I also know that there is much in a name and many of us
have not realized the full gravity of one of God's names being The Word.
Things are created by God's Word (definition). People wrestle over
the definition of what is right and wrong, good and bad. Only the
highest AUTHORITY can make the DEFINITION stick. DEFINITION is
found in the CONTEXT of AUTHORITY.
There is INTEGRITY in the Word and God does not take redefinition
lightly. Make a cola drink and name it Coca-Cola and see how fast
a Coca-Cola corporate lawyer will serve you with a law suit. Why?
Because the name has specific meaning beyond its constiuent letters.
It implies something: quality, taste, consistency, presence. They
will protect their reputation and revenue by protecting their name.
God warns against taking His name lightly, misusing it and bringing
disgrace to it. Calling oneself a Christian but living outside of
Christ's full teaching may place one at the same risk as those
Israelites who made the golden calf and said, "This is YHWY." People
who choose to redefine God's definitions are in great peril. And
People who choose the name of Christ must make every attempt to live
up to it, claiming 1 John 2:1: "My little children, these things
write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an
advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."
I have several life verses:
Luke 17:7-10
But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say
unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to
meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup,
and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and
afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because
he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye,
when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say,
*We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to
do.*
John 21:21-22
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come,
*what is that to thee? follow thou me.*
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your *reasonable service.*
I have others but these are major themes that are the undercurrent of
who I am and how I live my life.
To say that I will miss you is a gross understatement. The RELATIONSHIPs
that I have found in this CONTEXT have become very dear. And while I
do not expect these relationships to end, they will of necessity
change. I am grateful to the Lord for using me as He has, and
grateful for what He has taught me through you. I am grateful for
you.
Love God with all you are; seek Him first, always first; and remember
that God promises to reward those who diligently seek Him (don't be a
casual seeker). May the Lord bless you according to His riches, His
grace, and His mercy.
Forever your servant and
co-laborer in Christ Jesus,

Me, too. Further, it is unclear as to time and date of depature; unclear
as to accessibility. As of January 1, I'll be an employee of another
company which will sell my services back to Digital for an *unspecified*
amount of time. I believe I'll show up at this building, at this seat,
at this node on Tuesday, January 3. I'll have a contractor's badge.
It is frustrating to be unclear and knowing that whenever I'm needed
elsewhere, I'm gone, and when I'm needed here at DEC, I'll be around
(I think). There's no finality to it (yet). On the bright side, each day
I'll have as a contractor to Digital *may* be a day where I can check
in with my friends. But I've been clearing out my office and cleaning
up eight years of information as if December 31 was the last of it.
My Sunday School lessons have been farmed out; I hope they can be of
some use (they're not all sterling quality, but may provide a springboard
fr some). I've taken several box-loads of personal stuff home - books
and files I've accumulated. The pictures come down soon, too.
I still have my hymnal here. I start out each day with a song. Sometimes
it comes to me, and other times I rely on the page-flip method. My song
is my prelude to prayer, online. I have taken my Bibles home (I have an
online Bible). I could have used them - sometimes the online Bible lacks
where one of my other Bibles can find the right verse or explain a passage.
So, will you see me in 1995? Perhaps. I think it is even likely,
but I won't be a fellow employee anymore, and I don't know when the
plug will get pulled. It would be simpler and easier otherwise, but
then it may help me, personally, to be weaned slowly.
Mark
P.S. Thanks Karen.

Titles can easily be changed by
Notes> Mod note /title="new title here"
So I did it for your original, just so it didn't leave an initial wrong
impression!
Meanwhile, I too shall miss Mark sorely. He's looked after so much here,
both in his moderator days, and since. Thanks, Mark! The farewells have
gone on for so long now that they seem a normal - as if we'll still be
saying 'goodbye' to Mark in a year or two's time. But now it's for real.
May the LORD guide your steps, bro, and bless you with an abundant
ministry, wherever that may be. May His hand remain upon each member of
your family for good in all their days. And if we don't meet on this earth
(which we may yet do), we shall meet in the place of His presence, with
rejoicing and infinite delight. I look forward to that time. Run the
race, bro!

| It is with great sorrow that I announce that I am leaving the company
in 2 days. I realize that this is sudden, however, I have known about
it for some time. I am a contract worker and this is nothing that is
being forced upon me. An oppurtunity has presented itself and I would
be foolish to not accept it.
Although I am happy for the blessing that this will be, I am also
saddened because I will miss all of you here. This job was enjoyable
for only one reason; the friends and fellowship!! This conference was
a "spiritual lifeline" for me here and I couldnt begin to describe how
vitally important it was for me to fellowship with all of you.
I have enjoyed the wisdom, prayers, support and encouragement, and
security of my family here.
I leave here excited about what the Lord is doing in m life, and by the
same token I leave a piece of my heart here with those of you who I
have been able to share with. I carry with me many, many fond memories
of heartfilled prayers, timely humor, and overall fellowshipping.
As I type this my heart is aching as a child who leaves his family for
college, vacation, or military service. Even though he knows it is only
a temporary seperation he is saddened by the immenent time of
seperation.
To Kym and James: thanks for the many hours of enjoyment and
fellowshipping on IRC. I have come to know both of you in a more
personal way now. I will miss both of you.
To Ben and Andrew: I cant find the words to say. The times we've spent
and the humor we shared will forever be imbedded in my memory. I love
you guys!! Im sure we'll keep in touch.
To Nancy: Thankyou for being there when I needed someone to listen. I
also thankyou for the hours that we have spent getting to know one
another. I appreciate the friendship that has developed between us and
for your candidness.
To all my other family members: Thank you all for your contributions
here. I have grown in wisdom because of your shared experiences. I wish
I would have been able to fellowship more with you had I been assigned
to the day shift.
Bye Leslie, Karen, Jim, Bob, Pam, Bing, Mark, Mike and to anyone else
that I have briefly known, yet have touched and enriched my life..

Digital has been a big part my life for the past 11 years and 14 weeks.
This Friday will officially be my last day with DEC, bringing to a close my
employment in a company that 11 years ago I was thrilled to be hired into
and even today would be happy to remain. But alas, that is not to be.
I have made many friendships here, friendships that I know are greater
than this company. I wish you all the best that life has to offer. I am
not discouraged or beaten down. My job to me has been a means of
supporting my family and a field in which to share my faith. I know that
God has other things in store for me.

| Well, I am joining the ranks of those who have gone on before me - I gave
my notice earlier this week - May 26 will be my last day at Digital.
This is something that I have been longing for, working toward, for quite
sometime now. It's been my desire to have more time at home, more time
with my husband, more time for some of my interests, etc. and it seems
the Lord has finally agreed with me! This past year especially has
brought alot of changes (most of them good!) but stressful nonetheless,
and I am BURNT OUT. I'm looking forward to the Lord restoring me to
health and rest and peace!
My short-term plans are to be unemployed for the summer (yeah!) and spend
some quality time with Steve, work on my home (home improvements)
spend some time with my grandmother, who's health is failing and with
my beloved nephew. If/when I am employed again, I'm hoping to do
something different from what I've always done in the past (legal
secretary/office work) and it feels good to look ahead to those
options. Things have been going well with the band I'm in also, we
have some concerts lined up during the summer - it's been amazing to be
part of this and see how God is working.
There's not much I will miss about this place - but the people in this
conference I most definitely will! I've really enjoyed the fellowship
and growth I've had here: Ben Price's inspiring praise in chit-chat,
the numerous explanations/teachings of Andrew Yullie, the challenges
put forth by Mark Metcalfe (now since departed...) - just a few of the
many things I could mention. I'm grateful to have been a part of and
witness to all that's happened here (and I still have 2 weeks to be
part of it :-)

| It's been ages since I even read in here, but there may still be a few
folks who remember me...
After eight+ years at Digital, today's my last day. After a week off,
I start at a company called Electronic Retailing Systems in Westford,
MA.
This conference has (indirectly) given me fellowship, encouragement,
and my best earthly friend for life. Both Ann Marie and I will always
hold (and lift up) this group and this place as special.
Keep pursuing the Truth, keep your sense of humor, and keep the eternal
worth of each person you meet (electronically and in-person) in mind.
Shalom and agape,
Dave

of you from other early-days noters.
Praying for God's Blessing in your new job!

| I've been away for a while, and had a brief resurrection of this
account.
Today is the last day that we Oracle CSC folks are on easynet.
I just thought I would drop in and leave a brief goodbye, and a
heartfelt thanks for the conversation, challenges to faith, and
fellowship in here.
I also want to thank the Colorado Springs crowd for some good
times at Froggymeisters.
Run the good race!

Well, this looks like a generic enough goodbye note.
It's my turn to go. I just gave my resignation to my manager
and will be heading home in about 30 minutes. I want to thank
you all for your love and support, you have truly blessed my
life in ways that you'll never know.
May God be with all of you until we see each other in
Heaven!
Love in Christ,
Pam

Sis, could you please email me your home phone and address?
I have been blessed by your entries in this forum, your candidness and
your great stories about your son. I love you and will miss you very
much.
Knowing I'll see you in heaven,

God Bless, Pam.

| Oh My, this is rather sudden!
I can think of nothing that says it as well as the Aaronic benediction:
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you,
and be gracious unto you,
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you
and give you peace.

May the blessings be abundant and rich!

others from the department I've only just joined. Steve Ollis, whom
a few of you know, is apparently also going. And Allan Small. That

I. Sigh.
