| 287.5 | Interface timeout of PCI module | TBJVOA::AIDA | Tue Jan 28 1997 05:12 | 35 | |
Hello,
The customer gave us an instruction to make the error.
He sent the sample qsdriver, qs_test, and his X window application.
We followed his instruction with the following configuration.
CPU: AlphaStation 200 4/233
Memory: 64 MB
OpenVMS: V6.2-1H3 (Japanese)
DECWindows Motif V1.23
PCI-VME Adapter Driver V1.3
DEC GKS: V6.3
DEC Fortran Runtime library: V7.0-1
PCI module : Rev. L
VME module : Rev. F
VME device : VME memory
Master mode Read/Write DMA, word access, 32 Kbytes/transfer
The customer said that his system (AlphaStation 255/300) has crashed soon.
Our system did not crash, but the following QIO error has been returned
from qsdriver.
SS$_CTRLERR
IOSB_1 = 0x40000
This means that "interface timeout bit" of "Local Status Register" on PCI
adapter card is set to 1.
Any helps are welcome. Thank you in advance.
