393.0. "Auto start of .AVI files?" by WONDER::CASABONA () Tue Feb 25 1997 19:17
Is there a convenient method of packaging .wav or .avi files such that
one can click on them and have them start up immediately, instead of having to
start them from media player?
I have seen a .exe file which, when clicked on, initiates a video clip.
Are the tools available under W3.1 or W95 to perform such packaging?
If not, what packages are available (shareware or commercial) to do such
packaging.
An example of use would be to package and .AVI, create an ICON pointing to
it, and locate it in a startup PG so that it starts on Window boot up.
thanks
Rick

| One easy way to do this is to install ActiveMovie which will set this
up by default, I believe.
