Hello! We have this customer who wanted to upgrade their disk capacity. They have a DEC 3000-800 clustered with a DEC 2000-300 (satellite) running under OVMS V6.1. They currently have RZ26Ls and some RZ28M in the cpu box and BA350 expansion box. They are now contemplating of upgrading their system disk (RZ26L) to a RZ29 drive and most probably the other RZ26 disks as well. I have come across some documents in COMET which state that RZ29 is supported by VMS 6.1 but did not specifically mention DEC 3000. Note 35.2 lists the different devices and the minimum O/S versions support but no remark on RZ29 under VMS. My question is - what disks are supported in DEC 3000-800? What are the upgrade paths for DEC 3000 and DEC 2000 in terms of disks capacity, memory or cpu? Thanks. Noel Gesmundo

rz29b is a qualified option on the dec3000. I dont have a list of supported disks but you can check the following homepage for more info. http://www.eng.pko.dec.com/wrse/home.html -Sridhar. ps- It is not supported as a boot device on the turbochannel options like pmazb/pmazc |
