247.0. "DEC3000/500 POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT" by SCASS1::BROGDON () Mon Feb 03 1997 17:55
Hello,
I have a customer that has a dec3000/500 they have added some
3rd party disk & tape drives about 1 year ago and the system has run
fine until recenty. The system began crashing 1-2 times a day with a ac
power failure. The power supply was swapped and would not come up until
1 of the disk drives was unplugged. My main question is how much +5v
and + 12v power is available for internal disks,tapes and cdroms ?.
The system currenty has no additional turbochannel modules and has 256
meg of memory. the storage options are as follows
type +5v +12v
RZ26-E 1.2A 0.6A
FUJITSU 2694ESA 1.1A 0.6A
MIRCOP. 3243AV 0.9A 2.8A
RRD42 0.8A 0.25A
WANGDAT 3400DX 2.0A 1.0A (OPERATING CURRENT)
TOTAL CURRENT 6.0A 5.25A
Thanks, Robert Brogdon
