| Which AlphaStation? Which OS?
The DPS Perception card can be used under NT to
spew digital frames to VHS, etc.

| The most direct way to do this is with a device called a scan converter
which converts high frequency RGB monitor signals to composite video
which can be displayed on a TV or taped on a VCR.
These devices run all the way from cheap ($200) units with minimal
filtering that will only support relatively resolutions to units
costing $10,000 or more which will support any scan rate and
provide high quality filtering.
The DPS Perception isn't a good fit for this application. Digital's
AV301/AV321 could be used, but you'd get better results with less
work using an external scan converter.

Hi,
more info ....
I need to record binary images on a video tape (ie all the output on
the monitor should be directed to the video tape)
And to record video files on the video tape
Is DPS able to do this ?
The customer will buy the DPWS 433 or 500 to do the above. Running WNT
4.0.
Thanxs.

| Use a scan converter. I can't say it any more clearly than that.
