Hi, I was given a tip that a Powerstorm 4D60t can be converted to a 4D50t by either some physical setting on the card or by plugging out something from the card. The Tech guy before me knew how to do this, and I feel I must keep the tradition alive. Does anybody know how to do this? Rgds, Bernard [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

I don't think you can do this. The 4D60T has more chips on the board, fans and a plastic cooling shroud. Why do you want to do this? Garry | |||||

I know how it sounds, but I work in a pre-sales dept and often we need to setup systems for benchmarks, tenders, etc. On occasion we wld need a 4D50T but have only 4D60T in stk, so a flexibility measure wld be to have one card that can be 2 models as and when necessary. I only thought of this when someone told it had been done before - but that guy left Digital. I wonder if this is a myth. Rgds, Bernard [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
