1918.0. "Alphaserver 1000 5/400 and ECU" by STU03::STBAUER () Wed Apr 09 1997 02:49
I think this is not the right place to setup my note, maybe someone
knowns a better place.
Here is my problem.
I have an ALPHAserver 1000 5/400 with an Compac Qvision
Graphic Controller. When I first start up the Alpha tells me, that my
ECU config is not ok, this is printed on screen of the graphics
monitor. My console is set to graphics. Now I invoke the ECU via
floppy. After running ECU I restart the System. Now I get the output of
the Alpha Selftests on a Terminal I also have connected. After Power
OFF/ON the output is still on the Terminal not on the Graphicmonitor,
but console still is set to Graphics.
Does anyone have an idea.

| Try the WRKSYS::MIKASA conference (press KP7 now), where the folks who
know about the AlphaServer 1000 hang out.

| And make sure the keyboard is plugged in. Many of our consoles assume
that there is no graphics if there is no keyboard.
