If you are in workstation marketing, you will definitely want to
acquire the "CPU Operating System Versions and Release Dates Table
& Flowchart" document from COMET (URL "http://comet.alf.dec.com/"),
as this document contains a wealth of useful information.
You will also want to become familar with the WEB integrated
repository: http://webir.das.dec.com/.
The AlphaStation 600A 5/500 and other EV56 systems generally require
OpenVMS V6.2-1H3, or V7.1 or later. (Alcor Primo is the code name,
and the OpenVMS plan-of-record confirms the need for V6.2-1H3 or
V7.1 or later. Like other V6.2-1Hx hardware, V7.0 is not supported.)
Depending on the graphics controller, Open3D may be required.
DECwindows Motif is also required.
