    Hi,

    An ISV has a as255. He runs Digital UNIX with no problem on it. He
    installs VMS 6.2 on it and he can't get DECnet and/or UCX running on
    it.

    >>> ewa0_mode twisted_pair

    When he tries to start DECnet he gets:

    $ @netconfig
    DECnet starting
    Operation failure, device is not in configuration
    or not available
    Unrecognizable component circuit
    circuit = ewa0

    $ sho dev/full ewa0:
    Device DE435 is offline, network device, a template only.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Amin

1839.1AlphaStation 255 is not supported in V6.2STAR::jacobi.zko.dec.com::jacobiPaul A. Jacobi - OpenVMS Systems GroupTue Feb 04 1997 13:257
The AlphaStation 255 is not official supported in V6.2, due to the
inclusion of the new built-in ethernet adapter. Upgrade to V6.2-1H3 and
the built-in ethernet will work correctly.
