HI, I've got the AS 600/500 spec figures in our internal web. Need to confirm if they are correct. AS500/500 AS600/500 chip 21164A 21164 SPECint95 15.0 14.3 SPECfp95 20.4 15.4 Does anyone knows why this new 500 Mhz announcement on the AS600 is not based on 21164A instead ? Thanxs. Rgds, Poh Ing

1819.1 | EV56 in 600/500 | WRKSYS::SCHUMANN | Mon Jan 27 1997 09:15 | 7
I think you mean 21164A = "EV56", 21164 = "EV5" The AS 600/500 DOES use EV56, since there are no EV5 faster than ~350 MHz. I don't know whether your spec numbers are correct. Where did you get them? --RS
1819.2 | No such thing as a 21164A.... | PERFOM::LICEA_KANE | when it's comin' from the left | Mon Jan 27 1997 09:52 | 8 |
There is no such thing as a 21164A. Both the AS 500/500 and the AS600/500 use the EV56, which is a 21164. The spec numbers are *preliminary* measured estimates from last August. -mr. bill |
