Here is some additional information. Maybe I have a hardware problem on the mother board? I did a new install of VMS 7.1 on this box, and when it tries to bring up MOTIF from the boot, it machine Checks with DECW$SERVER as the current image. Just to re-cap, NT 4.0 with SP1 still hangs when I try to load the 256 color drive. If I do a USE LAST KNOW GOOD, I can bring up NT? So it seems that graphics problems are common to both OS?
