678.5 | AS600 SIMMs in an AS250? | CERN::HOBBS | Congrats to the Ignoble Peace Prize winner! (http://www.eecs.harvard.edu/ig_nobel) | Tue May 13 1997 08:13 | 13 |
For a short term urgent situation I need to fatten up an AS250/266. Reading through the memory/SIMM notes and the WRSE pages give me the impression that both the AS 600 and AS 250 support standard 36-bit 72-pin SIMMs. Obviously, the Alcor uses 8 SIMMs per bank, and the 250 uses 4. The larger Alcor SIMMs are also 60ns. So, would it be possible to borrow 4 SIMMs from a bank from an Alcor (and put 4 on the shelf) and install them in the AS 250/266? -cw | |||||

Alcor 60ns or 70ns SIMMs are fine for 200/250/255 --RS |
