1602.11Thanks, and ???SMURF::BINDERErrabit quicquid errare potest.Wed Jan 29 1997 13:0722
    Dave's disk arrived, and I copied the files from it to my Mac. The ROM
    03 version seems to emulate slightly faster than the ROM 01 version; my
    speculation is that Apple optimized a bunch of stuff between releases.

    It's still slow, slower than I remember my IIgs as being.

    NEXT QUESTION:

    Can someone provide me with copies of ShadowWrite, GSHK, and Cosmocade
    disk B? I can download these things from AOL, but the Mac sees them as
    files of an unknown type. I downloaded GSHK.SEA, but because it's lost
    its file-type resource info it won't launch.  I don't have a IIgs
    resource manipulator, and I no longer remember the necessary file-type
    information, anyway...  :-(

    (I want the Cosmocade disk to get a copy of Naxos, the shooting-gallery
    game that is my major reason for trying out the emulator in e first
    place.)

    Thanks.

Hello Dick,

	ShadowWrite and GSHK can be downloaded from:

	http://www.wco.com/~3d5d1wsw/gsezine/GS.WorldView/

	I found Cosmocade on :

	ftp://ground.isca.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/
	Under the directory: apple16/Games/Cosmocade.disk2

	It's a Major problem with the Mac ;-)...
	What you can do is to download the GSK or other softs under
	.uue or tar format, and under the Mac decode the uue or tar
	and then it should be ok.

	If you want I can download the files for you and send them under
	uue format. Let me know.

	Have fun,

			-Erik.
1602.13It's time to beg a little. :-)SMURF::BINDERErrabit quicquid errare potest.Mon Feb 10 1997 14:0010
    Erik, even sending them as uue or tar files won't help because the IIgs
    won't have the critical file-type information that it needs to
    determine that an SEA file is actually an application that it can
    launch. But you could, if you would be so kind, download the three
    files and put them on a IIgs floppy - all three ought probably to fit -
    and then have someone there make a Mac Disk Copy 4.2 disk image file.
    That file can be uuencoded, and all the essential information will be
    preserved.

    I realize this is a big request... :-/
