	Another interesting encounter today.  On my way in via the temp.
	ZKO2-2 entrance today (due to the ZK2 bridge work), there was someone
	smoking right outside the door, in full view of the security guard.

	When I asked him why he was letting someone smoke there, he simply
	said she wanted to smoke.  I asked him if he was aware of the smoking
	policy, and he played dumb.

	A couple of weeks ago a simliar incident occurred.  I came in via
	the temp entrance and there were two people smoking right there
	in front of the doors, with the guard having a clear view of them.
	This guard was younger and appeared new and when I informed him
	of the smoking policy and where the designated smoking area were,
	he actually did something about it.  However it's sad that security
	guards are ill-informed or couldn't give a crap about the policy.

	Also interesting is that when I called the security office to
	report this most recent incident, he is doing something about it,
	but when I told him the name on the person's badge (Patricia Holly)
	is not listed in ELF V2, V3 or the Web employee browser, he
	said it was probably one of thee people from the mail-room that
	go out there all the time to smoke.  Ie. it sounds like even the
	security office knows people are violating the corporate smoking
	policy all the time by smoking in non-designated areas, but
	could either not give a crap, or are powerless to do anything
	(part of the problem of out-sourcing security I would sadly guess).

    Since we contracted out the guards, there are several site policies
    that aren't enforced anymore.  Remember the ban on removing cardboard
    boxes with "Digital" logos on them after somebody dumped chemicals
    along the road in a Digital box and Digital had to pay?  Well, since
    the contractor guards came on board, you can walk out of here with
    just about anything without any questions.
