1642.0. "Stolen BOAT!!!!!!!!!!! " by WMOIS::BOURGAULT_D () Fri Jul 05 1991 20:49

    BOAT STOLEN ALERT!!!!!

     One of our noters who recently left the company had an unfortunate
    incident. John Easter who many of us know, contacted me the other night
    and asked if I would enter this note and request that all noters would
    be on the lookout in their travels for his boat that was stolen from
    his property sometime between Friday the 28th and Saturday afternoon
    the 29th. John lives in Manchester New Hampshire and can be contacted
    at 603-669-8051.

     Description. 1989 Cobra (Bayliner) Blue and white Center Console
                  19 ft
                  150 horsepower Force engine.
                  On windshield is a sticker MPA 562 ( Marine Patrol Aux)
                  At the time it had a Bayliner boat cover
                  Some damage at the mount of the trolling motor.
                  compliments of the Merrimack in Concord . I hate
                  that river!!!!!

           The other unfortunate part was that John had all his tackle
           on board the boat.

           The hitch was locked, the lock was found in the driveway
           broken off.

          NHB Noters John will probably need a ride and some tackle for
                     the next tournament, if anyone can help him let him
                     know.

 Regards

    Don B.

1642.1The BATTLESTAR BAYLINER is missing????RANGER::MACINTYRETerminal AnglerMon Jul 08 1991 10:308
    Wow! I hope he had his insurance in order. I would imagine that
    anyone stealing a boat that size doesn't plan on hiding it away
    somewhere locally, it's probably long gone by now...

    I just called John and left a message offering him a ride for
    this weekend's tournament.

	I will print off the info for my husband who is always prowling around
that area looking for the elusive tuna off Jeffries, in the Merrimack, out
to Stellwagon. The registration # may have been obliterated by now but what
was it if you might know? You can tell up close if they have been tampered
with. Any other special markings other than the windshield? That type of
boat is fairly common in the area.

    Also how about a hull serial #, if anyone happens to see one setting in
    a parking lot sometime, or even on a moring somewhere.

    In case there is any confusion, the boat mentioned is the bass boat
    style cobra - not the deeper hulled big water variety. -donmac
1642.5LAKE BOAT HMMM?HYEND::PALMThu Jul 11 1991 17:286
	Not to worry.....I've seen those crazy dudes in the ocean with
	that type of boat. The hull # would be a great help if you
	could get it. What a heinous crime....and just when he could
	have a little time to enjoy it.

    I talked with John recently and he was having some problems with his
    in surance company on the claim. It seems John did what most of us
    would do have 100% replacement value on our expensive toys, but when
    the insurance company said the boat is a total loss they inturn told
    him that they only pay 80%. He has/was fighting this "issue" with them
    and I'm not sure where he is at with them. Everyone who has this type
    of insurance on their may what to pose such a question to their agents
    and or insurance companies.
