I'm going on a pack trip into the Sierras next week for golden trout.
I caught my first ones last year (one was almost two pounds). I had to
hike 2 days to get to the producing lakes. This year I'll be riding a
horse and a mule will be carrying my gear instead of lugging a 50lb
backpack around at 10000ft. In my opinion golden trout are the most
colorful species of trout and also the most difficult to catch
because of the remote high altitude areas they are found. Has anyone
else out there caught any?
