Those of you who work in the Mill should consider bringing your poles to work. There are some big Bass in Millpond. I watched a guy land a nice 3 1/2 pounder Sunday. He went on to tell me he caught a 5 1/2 pounder 2 weeks ago and his buddy caught an 8pounder ???????. He caught the 3 1/2 pounder on a red rubber worm and said that spinnerbaits work well at night. Considering the apparently poor water quality and location I never considered fishing the Pond before hearing this and always wondered why there are always so many people fishing here. I might just give it a shot now. John.

The Asabet has always been pretty good for Bass in the areas where it's deep enough... Another great Bass river is the Charles.. Of course, these 2 are 100% "catch & release" fisheries....unless you wanna turn blue with large yellow, red, and green spots and have most of your appendages rot and begin to drop off that is.... Although they've gone a long way to clean these rivers up, they are still sort of "toxic waste dumps" in my opinion.. JM |
