    Folks,
    	
    	I thought I'd tell you all a sort of funny story that happened to
    me the other day.(with all the bickering going on this should be a good
    change of pace).
    
    	Anyhow when I came home the other day my wife met me as soon as I
    got out of my car with a very worried look on her face.  We have a
    septic system with a big cement cover on it, but mine sits at ground
    level and has metal bars running along the opening and this cover sits
    on top of it.
    
    	Well around the edges of this cover are some smaller rocks because
    the cover is a tad bit smaller then the metal grate opening. 
    Apparently my son had moved one of the smaller rocks and got his leg
    stuck in the hole it left.
    
    	Now of course he's screaming and my wife see's this and all she can 
    think of is that little girl Jessica that got caught in the well a few 
    years ago.  So she ran over grabbed my son out and in the process his 
    sneaker came off.  So there's his sneaker floating on top of the sewage
    about 10 ft down in this hole.
    
    	Needless to say these are very trendy sneakers we bought him.  So
    after I calm my wife down and show her there's no way that he could
    have falledn in through the metal grate, she ask me to get his sneaker if
    I could.
    
    	So now your probably guessing what I did.  Yup you know it!!  After
    I moved the cover I tried hooking his shoe with my rod and a Gitzit.  I
    could get a good hookset, so I went and got my baitcaster which had a big 
    spinner bait on it and wham I hooked the dam thing and out it came.
    
    	For those of you who know where I live(right on RT 122 on the
    Millbury/Worcester line), you should have seen the look from the cars
    stopped at the light in front of my house, plus my neighbor thought I
    had really gone off the deep end.  He's seen me practice my pitching in
    my pool, but this was just to much for him to take.
    
    	So the lesson from this story is, I highly recommend Spinner Baits 
    for any type of sewage fishing.  Oh, one other thought, always practice
    catch and release with this type of fishing.

    I got a little worried as I began to read that. Also, with a little 
    smile on my face.
    But --  who cleaned it? How much did it weigh?

    Oh, yeah- did you use a line class tippet? :-)

The worrying thing is that Mad Matt stayed at this fishing hole for an hour
after he recovered his son's shoe, to see if he could catch anything else...
