Can anyone provide me with information about lake Attitash in Amesbury? I'm interested in knowing what the pike fising is like and if the bass fishing is good as well. Dave

Dave, I have fished Attatash 2 or 3 times...Once ice fishing and I recall twice during open water...I was told by the locals if you are looking for Pike Ice fishing is when you get the Big ones....There is a good weed line on the left hand side of the lake as you look out from the ramp....Bass fishing is good to average, one good spot I found was directly across the lake from the ramp. There is a point that drops off to 20ft and its surrounded by weeds. Have caught 3 over 4# in that spot..... Best of Luck, Bigbird | |||||

Thanks Bigbird. Ice fishing is why I am inquiring. Every year a bunch of us get together and do a special weekend get away. Last year we did Quabog pond and had a great time with big fish put on the ice. According to my stocking chart Attitash falls about a year behind Quabog in terms of stocking so I thought maybe this year it may yield some big fish. Heard any stories about the size of the pike that have been taken to date? Dave |
