I have seen those! Do they have some type of release? When you mention "running line", is this something that needs a spool of its own? I imagine that they "dive" with boat speed. They sound like just what I need! Do you happened to know which note they are discussed in. Thank ya, Mr. Bandit!!! Jeff (Captain) Team Starcraft

I think the Dipsy Diver was discussed in one of the Lake Ontario (Big O) notes, or a Salmon note. Luhr jensen makes 'em. The running line is the line coming off your reel - nothing different. You might wanna give Tom Coots up in Contoocook a call. He's used 'em and can give you some "hands on." --The Skoal Bandit

I did a quick search thru the notes associated with the trolling keyword and there was only one short mention of the dipsy diver. As Skoal pointed out it is probably discussed in one of the ontario or salmon topics. However, I think we can use a topic dedicated to the dipsy diver, so I changed Jeff's reply in topic 1497 into a new base note. donmac

I've got a tech report from Luhr Jensen on the Dipsy Diver. Jeff, if you want a copy, let me know. --The Diving Bandit |
