| Ok, count me in. I'll find a way to get coverage for the afternoon at
DECworld. Partner TBD.
BTW...I'd suggest the lunker pool be just for largemouths. The smallie
population at Pawtuckaway is too small to be considered. If you want to
give more folks a chance at winning some money, make the lunker pool a 60/40
split for the 2 biggest bass.
Considering how many bass died last year during our Pawtuckaway tourney, I
guess I can't blame you for imposing a 1/4 pound penalty for dead fish.
Even those with aerated livewells lost fish due to the excessive heat. I
would strongly suggest bringing lots of ice or ice packs to help cool the
water in the livewell.
Also, be arare that the water cops and F&G frequently patrol this lake, so
make sure you're legal.

Count me in on this one BOYS! I not only plan on showing up....I plan
on showing all you folks that the LEGEND is BACK!!!
NEW..IMPROVED (if that is possible) and more DEADLY with the rod and reel!
For those of you who have only dreamed of this opportunity....your dream
just came true.
The LEGEND of the LAKES is looking for a partner!
NOW, NOW.....don't jam the terminal and phone lines all at once! There
are certian criterias you must meet. The LEGEND doesn't fish with just anyone.
First of all...you have to have a REAL BASS BOAT! You have to be able to
work at least 5 lures in an EXPERT manor. And last but not least....you must
respect the LEGEND!
So...with these guidelines in mind.....Send me a note on-line or off.
I can understand some of you not wanting everyone else knowing that you
were the CHOSEN one!
If....by some remote chance, there are no entries or there isn't anyone
in the file who fits all three guidelines (the last one is going to be a bitch!)
I will wax and make ready.....THE LEGEND MOBILE!

| I could never understand this in the DEC tourneys that we have, I
always thought that the HAWG POOL was suppose to be for the biggest bass
caught! So why do we want to split it up 60/40 or 1/2 for smallie and
1/2 for largemouth? At least if you catch one decent fish you can
hope for the lunker pool!
But that's my feeling about it and I will go along with what everyone
decides (except for the Legend his opinion doesn't count!)

| Oh-oh, I should have checked the lunar calender first, 7/20 must
be a full moon - all the ghosts of notes past are coming out of
the woodwork... 8^)
As far as the split lunker pool goes, as Joe mentioned, the idea is
to spread the money around and the two species makes it a little
interesting. There are not many smallmouth in Pawtuckaway. As a
matter of fact I'm not sure if one has ever been weighed in during
any tournaments that I have been involved with there. In the case
that there are not any smallmouth weighed in, it will be a single
lunker pool. If someone does catch a 12" smallie, it may be worth
a few bucks. Again, it's optional, and I'd rather not start
playing follow the bouncing rules! 8^) Enough of that -

| You're absolutely right, Don! How Don Pardo could even conceive that
professionals like yourself and me would even consider teaming up with him
is beyond me. We've got more self-respect than that! He and the legend are
in a clASS by themselves!! (I had to stick the "cl" in there to keep it
clean.)
It will be an interesting experience, to say the least! I'm sure thay we'll
have a much larger turnout for this tourney. The more, the merrier!
Besides, I have always enjoyed hearing the roar of a CROWD laughing AT the
legend (note lowercase....he get's NO respect from me!).
And Don Pardo...heh heh...I seriously doubt that SUPERMOUTH would ever
really dare to show his face at Patuckaway. Time will tell.

Bring a CRYING towel to the next one. Pardo and I are the TEAM to beat
at this little outing! Mind you...Pardo is NO slouch...HE has fished
in places as far as ALASKA. He not only works his mouth well....but
is AWESOME with the rod as well.
I'm warning all you ROOKIES here and now....if you are sensitive to
abuse ....STAY HOME nad play MONOPLY or something!
Looking forward to this one.....Pardo ...see what you can come up with
for lighting....I want to FILM THIS BABY!!!

to the weigh in. It was Lucia's biggest BASS to date!

| On Tim's behalf I have some info to share that will hopefully
put the legend back in read only mode.
I saw Tim catch more fish (cod, mackeral and pollock) in 4 hours
than I am sure the legend has caught in the last 4 years.
Further Tim filleted the bulk of the 150 fish we kept while the
boat was cruising 20 knots in a 2 foot chop.

Well....I did it again! I got my hand slapped by Don Mac.
Let me put it another way.
Mr. SWEET...you obviously have no idea who you are dealing with.
In the future, when discussing the LEGEND...try to make it a
habit to capitalize my name.
And I'm happy you were impressed with Tim's ability to fillet fish
at 20 knots...you are obviously, easily excited.
If you want to really LOSE IT..show up on the 20th...and wait for
the Legend to bring his catch to the scale. Hey, if your a good
boy, maybe I'll even give my fish to Tim....and he can fillet them
in the LEGENDMOBILE while I have my 14lb thrust trollmotor at full
bore!
That will probably do you in for the night.

although it is rather aggressive, I do not consider it offensive. And
I know Mr. Vachon knows Mr. Spadafore (and Mr. Waters) personally and
knows that this is all in jest.
And before anyone takes offense at any of this 'bustin' let me assure
you that this is all purely in jest.
Most of us get a kick out of these pretournament rantings from the
likes of this dynamic duo. I do try and make sure that the rantings
stay semi clean and no too offensive (the legend has had one sent
back to him already - it was quite humerous I assure you, but it just
didn't cut it in a public forum).
Anyway, if anyone does take something seriously in here and gets upset,
rather than lashing out here in the file, please send me mail and I
will handle the matter offline - and remove any notes if necessary.

Oh, I can still remember the night...I punched him in the head so hard....

On the 20th Martial and I will be the team to beat. My Friend and BROTHER
Don Pardo and myself have decided to fish seperately...only to give you

| EASY LEGEND!!! If you are going to tell stories lets talk about the
times that we have gone fishing at Winnie. The first time was with
LEGEND (notice capital letters.. out of respect for his sandwiches!!)
and this other character Danny who talked up storm like Spa-DAA-fore,
telling me that boat was a toilet while he was loading his 10 foot
aluminium piece of junk on top of the LEGEND's truck (well at least he
had one, not like some other BOZO's we know!!) and to make a long
story short lets just say that I out fished these two so called
fisherman during the weekend!
And now for the second time we went to Winnie I also recall catching
those smallies while the LEGEND was asking me if I had another lure
like the one I was using since he wasn't able to land anything with
all those great lures that was filling up space in his tackle box!
Come to think of it you haven't out fished me yet but if you are going
to do it let it be on the 20th so we can win this tourny!

| I don't know the legend , however it sounds as though he must sure be
just about the best fisherman and person to hit the earth in the past
decade or two . With an ego like his I know that he can't be one to
pass up a sure thing ,so I thought that it would be interesting to have
him come to Maine and show me how to fish .
I would be willing to have a contest of sorts with he and his partner
of choice . My proposal is that he and partner come to fish against me
and my partner for $500 per team winner take all . I don't do a lot of
fishing so I am sure that he understands the simple nature of his task.
We would be willing to fish the lake of his choice or I would be happy
to pick one . PUT UP OR SHUT UP ..............

| As stated in reply .35, all of this ranting and raving was purley in jest,
these guys were just trying to entertain us. And judging from the response
that I have received it appears that most of us were entertained and got
alot of laughs out of all this.
Personally, I too thought most of it was quite entertaining. I felt a few notes
were a little too crude for this forum and they were sent back to the authors
and deleted. The authors graciously reworded the notes and re-entered them.
After a couple of people expressed concern about the carrying on, I asked for
comments to be sent to me by mail.
There were a few individuals who took offense at some of the comments and
felt they were unappropriate for a notesfile, and in direct violation of
company policy. In order to keep the peace, and not draw any negative
attention to the notesfile, I removed the "offensive" notes.
The majority of people argue that if people do not like the way the topic
is going, all they have to do is hit 'next unseen' and ignore it. As an
example, if you find Playboy magazine offensive, then don't look at it.
And personally I agree with that philosophy. But, as moderator my number
one concern is to do what I think is best for the notesfile.
As I have said before, there is a fine line between offensive and funny -
and no two individuals would draw that line the same. It's not easy trying
to draw that line for all of our readership.
Anyway, I hope we have not heard the last from our colorful contributors.
Most of us really enjoy your notes. I do ask that you keep it clean and
keep it light and hopefully keep it alive.

But, Unlike the last tourney. Once we are off and running the
camera is going to be put down and the LEGEND will pick up one
of his WONDER RODS...and do what he does best.
Don Mac is going to have a big party this winter at his house. The
Legend will consolidate all the tourney footage and then we can all
review it.
So be on your best behavior and don't be TALKING up a storm at the
boat launch.....it could cause a LONG cold winter when we are all
listening to the people who didn't catch anything hacking away!!

you the opportunity. It was also stated that you had a beautiful wall
mount of your trophy Bass in your house. He did say that looking at it
through the magnifying glass that you have hanging by a string next to
it really does make it look like a 7 1/2 lber that you have scratched into
the trophy plate. It is just another classic case with the Legend "

Also it was not Sunday morning but Saturday. Looking forward to the

They were just not nailing the lure. We had quite a few hits but

The Legend has off nights too. I'll be the first to admit I didn't
catch anything.

| From RT 93 (north or south), head East on RT 101. Take Exit 5 (it's
marked Pawtuckway State Park). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right.
Go through the lights, past McDonald's, to the T intersection and turn
left. Then take your first right (within 50 yards of traffic light) onto
156 (following State Park signs). Go approximately 5.5 miles (past
the sate park signs - you're not going into the park) to a small 4-corner
intersection (statue on far side of intersection) where you will turn
left. Then in about 2 miles you will see a dirt road that veers off to
the left (making a sorta Y intersection) unfortunately this road is not
marked. Turn leftdown this road and in about .6 miles you'll see the
launch and parking area.

optional draw for start. Non-powered or low-powered boats should decline
the draw and bring up the rear. This will avoid the situation of a
real slow boat drawing first and having a real fast boat trying to
pass him. As we discussed on the phone, we should consider implementing
something similar for our club tournaments as well.

Last night on Lake Pawtuckaway a Bass fishing tournament was held and
once again "THE LEGEND OF THE LAKE" was severly trounced by his fishing
buddies. The beating was so degrading he attempted to throw himself into
the water with an anchor tied around his neck. But as luck would have
it the Bay of Fundy is only three feet deep. He did manage to land on
a 12" bass and kill him, which he promptly tried to weigh in as his
only fish of the night. Unfortunately the weighin time was over and
the LEGEND had to settle for his IQ 0000 as his total once again. The
LEGEND distraught over another embarrassing exibition left the
tournament site. No one knows were he went, but rumor has it that he
has gone on to live a life of seclusion and walking the highways
looking for ..road kill as his next meal. He has also done us all a
favor and changed his name and will from now on be known as.
...............THE FAKE OF THE LAKE......................

| Pardo is right!! what a night it was fishing with the LEGEND OF THE
SANDWICHES! Boy you guys should have heard the LEGEND when we came
across four skinny-dippers!! Talk about funny, obviously I can't repeat
what was said but one of the girls met her match.
Now if I can get the Legend to catch more bass I will be all set. Next
time I just might stop by his house only to get the sandwiches and
leave him there.

have kept...the way Easter and MR. Bourgault were stretching out their
fish...I'm sure they would have made that 11 3/4 a 15 inch!
Bottom line....I can still out fish you!

| Mr. Mac we just wanted to see if you were doing your job. Besides that
we only had to weigh in two of our fish to win this tournament if my
memory serves me correctly. But that won't happen again I was able to
purchase a new fish ruler with the extra $10.00 I won from you know
who. I seem to remember a questionable fish on the Merrimack in Concord
??????
