| Buy yourself a tubebender, cant be much. NOTE;and some tube for practicing
proferably, old tent poles or something will give you the idea,
the reason why i'm saying this is that I'm putting together a few
modifications of my own, and before i start i need to pick up a
pipe/tubing bender. the reason i say tent poles is i'm going to
trash the tent and it leaves me with aluminum poles whick interconnect
and are aluminum, rust free and light weight for my needs. Hope
this gives you an idea, id rather do it myself, than pay someone
else. cause thats the kind of guy i am, i figure the work i do
and the money i save, not only for myself but from doing work for
others it makes me feel good, especialy, when i send out my BP orders
and not worrying about justification, doing the work myself IS my
justification for writing out the check. hope this helped,

1326.5 | bend stainless ??? | HYEND::WOOD | | Mon Mar 05 1990 13:58 | 10 |
| Ronni,
I would think it would be some pretty heavy duty equipment to
bend stainless. Maybe I only need aluminum, but I would think
that with people probably leaning on this thing, and the fact
that I'll probably have planar boards attached to it in the
spring I'd want the strength of stainless...or is this really
overkill ?

1326.7 | temptation...the Big O | HYEND::WOOD | | Thu Mar 15 1990 17:59 | 13 |
| Rene,
I'd love to go, but I'm sitting in California on a trip right
now, and I don't know if I'll have to come back in April...this
vax 9000 project is kind of hot right now :-) If at all possible
I'll go. I was thinking of heading more towards the Rochester area
thisspring as I think the fishing might be evan better out there.
Maybe Don Frasch can help us out here. Don, what spring time frame
do things usually peak in the Rochester area ? Would it be very
good in April, or would we better waiting until the middle of May ?
Is there good launching and campin facilities in your area ? I can
hardly wait ! Mr. Farnham, are you up for this if I can pull it off ???

1326.8 | best price on Roberts | RANGER::MACINTYRE | Terminal Angler | Tue Sep 11 1990 14:09 | 24 |
| A couple of weeks ago, before heading up to Moore resevoir I did some
shopping around for rod holders for my boat to use while trolling.
I decided on the molded plastic holders manufactured by Roberts. They
have an adapter that allows you to mount them on your rails. They can
hold baitcasters or spinning rods and can adjust to many postions.
They also have a ring that locks the rods into the holder.
Anyway, the reason I'm entering this is that during lunch today I
happened to browse thru an `89 Cabela's catalog and was suprozed to see
the rod holder for sigificantly less money than it was thru Bass Pro
Shops or Northern Bass Supply. I called to find out if the 1990 price
was the same and found out it was a buck LESS.
BPS: $19.92 (prices are for holder + rail mount adapter)
NBS: $21.78
Cabelas:$14.98
If your outfitting a boat with 4 of them then this is significant
savings. I plan on getting 4 but only sprung for 1 before the Moore
trip (I got it thru NBS because I needed it asap). I just ordered my
2nd thru Cabelas and will definitely get 2 more in the future.
