Does anyone know a good place to buy an extra-large tall vest? The assortments I have been able to find in the central Massachusetts area are pitiful. Thanks, Pete P.S. Cabera's and L.L. Bean's catalogs are on the way, but I'd like to compare, if possible.

I saw various outdoor clothing items in XXlarge at the WearGuard factory outlet in Somerville (near the Lechmere MBTA station). They didn't have "real" fishing vests but lots of rugged outdoorsman clothes which included vests (some in camo). Prices are very reasonable. They also have one piece coveralls that had mistakes in the embroidering of company names, etc. that I found to be much cheaper than at second hand clothing stores. These are great for working on your car, truck, tractor, whatever. Good luck.

Check out the OUTDOORSMAN on Rt 12 in West Boylston, MA. In the past they have had a fairly good supply of fishing vests/hunting vests etc. in tall and xlarge sizes. The store recently changed hands, but I haven't noticed too many changes there.. As a side light LL BEAN is only a couple hours north of central MA in Freeport, ME and is open 24 hrs (or used to be anyway). Sounds like a trip directly from work would still get you home in time for the 11pm news. Al

LL Bean also has a 'bargain basement' which is the only way to shop at that place. Denny

Clem Lanza (who works out of VRO) has a shop in Leominster and I know he carries the Columbia Sportswear line of vests. These come in XXX-L. Other nearby places are Hunter's in New Boston and the Kittery trading post in Kittery, Me. hope this helps John |
