Okay, I haven't read this file since sometime in December. When
the temperature drops I stop thinking about fishing. Well, the
temperature is rising and in two weeks I will be in P-town (that's
on the tip of Cape Cod) and was wondering if there will be any
reasonable fishing from the shore. If there is, where should I go,
or who should I talk to to find out where to go. (Well, I left myself
open on that last sentence...)

| 1142.1 | Goose Hummock... | MERIDN::KPHILLIPS | Fri May 19 1989 08:06 | 11 | |
Try the Goose Hummock Shop on rte 6A in Orleans.
I was up there this past September looking for a spot to catch some
fluke from the shore. I stopped by the Goose Hummock Shop, and
they directed me to Herring Cove in P-town. The spot did produce fluke
up to 3 1/2 pounds (casting from the shore).
There won't be any fluke up there yet, but they should be able to
give you the scoop as to what's happening and where it is.

| 1142.2 | Schoolies and Macks | LEVERS::SWEET | Capt. Codfish...GW Fishing Team | Fri May 19 1989 08:36 | 5 |
I would be willing to be that some schoolies should be around and
if you go back further on the cape (like to the cannal) mackeral
would be a good bet.
