1113.0. "Where-to-stay" by BAGELS::DILSWORTH (I'm the NRA) Tue Apr 25 1989 10:49

I would like to start this topic for information on places to stay.
The title for replies should have the name of the lake and the state or
province. The body of the reply should contain the name, address and
    phone number of the proprietor.

I have stayed here several times. The cabins are rustic, but clean and
fully equipped. They rent boats and have primitive launching off the
beach for 4x4 and hand carrys. There is a good public launch about 2
    miles away.

    Four Seasons Camp Grounds
    Long Lake
    Naples, Maine

I don't have the number for it, but it is in the camp ground book
for Maine. This place is on the west side of Long Lake (which is
just north of Sebago Lake and connected to it) and offers full hook-ups
for both RVs and tents. Great sites with about 20 of them on the
water. Nine of them have docks for your boat and they have a launch
but I would recommend 4 wheel drive unless you have a small boat.
The lake has some of the best smallmouth fishing and good largemouth
too. Very scenic area with moderate development around the lake.
Long Lake is just that, about 10-11 miles long and maybe 3/4 to
    a mile across.

I am looking for a place to stay in Errol, NH preferably close to the
Androscoggin River. Any advice, phone numbers, etc would be appreciated.

    	Doctah,

There's only one motel in Errol, the Errol Motel. It's right on
route 16, very convenient to the river. Their rooms all have two
double beds, and a few of them have kitchenettes. The rooms are clean,
and it's a good idea to make reservations as it's a popular spot for
both fisherman and vacationers stopping over. The number is (603)
    482-2356.

If you're looking to tent, there are a few campgrounds around that
area, one primitive one right on the androscoggin.

If you need more info, give me a call.
