| I was out at daybreak Sunday morning April 2nd at my favorite
spot on the Souhegan River in Wilton. I was hoping that Fish & Game
had stocked on Saturday April 1st.
Two hours of fishing with spinners and salmon eggs, but alas not
a single bite. The water is still too cold....So I went home, jumped
into my canoe and fished the pond out my backdoor. Casting with
a rapala floating perch minnow I caught a 2 1/2 LB. Chain Pickeral.
That made up for the lack of trout!!

1077.3 | isn't it still closed season for lakes??? | JANVAX::NERL | Summer Blues and Striper Hunter | Wed Apr 05 1989 14:50 | 9 |
| re: .2
I thought that trout fishing in lakes/ponds is closed in NH till
April 22? Is there some unwritten law that I don't know about?
I've been hearing about other people fishing lakes already. What's
the story?
still waiting....

| Does that mean that any ponds/lakes not listed in the NH Fishing
Guide (blue book) is a "non-designated" pond?

1077.9 | Spinney and 11 Mile are open | CSC32::G_ROBERTS | | Fri Apr 14 1989 13:35 | 6 |
| 11 Mile and Spinney are open. Caught and released a mix of
7 'bows, salmon, and browns in the 12" to 19" range before
catching a keeper at Spinney. Early morning was hot action.
Caught a few more in the afternoon that were released. Saw
a few in the 10# range.

These are lakes in South Park, central Colorado. Trolling with
rapalas caught me another 24" 6# brown last weekend. Had a big
rainbow on, but lost it at the net.
