Try (of course) Midland Tackle. I rmember seeing tubing and the
bent hooks in the catalog.
You might also try Bogans Brielle Tackle, 800 Ashley Ave., Brielle, NJ
They used to publish a catalog for mail order, not sure if they
still do.
OR...you can buy surgical (surge) tubing at a medical supply house,
and dye it yourself with fabric dye. (Medical grade tubing is 'natural'
in color).

1035.3 | Why Blue? | SOLKIM::HORWITZ | Beach Bagel | Mon Mar 20 1989 11:16 | 20 |
| Ok, my curiosity is peaked:
What's so special about blue????
Down here the predominant colors seem to be reds, greens, white
and black.
What do you catch on the blue? Cod? Pollack?
I don't recall seeing blue, either as tubing or rigged.
You may have to get some neutral and dye it yourself.

| Now Bagel you are asking for Capt. Codfish's trade secrets....I
have found that the Zing products blue teaser rigs take a lot of
cod, more than other colors. i used to fish with red and flourscent
orange but someone said try blue and it has worked real well.
Now the secret is out, the tackle store shelves will be bare in
no time.
Capt. Codfish (who won't dare mention the 'wooly booly' teaser)

| No Bruce.
NOT THE WOOLY BOOLY!
Do you mean those "things" I made last year to simulate hoola dancing
girls on the cod jig? They are called Baggy wrinkles teasers,
But I like wooly booly. Kinda catchy name.

Discussing worms the other week with a co-worker, he mentioned that
blue is the most visible color deep underwater. If he's right,
that could be the reason for your success. RE:tubing, I picked
it up in semi-bulk at the Worcester and Springfield outdoors shows.
I don't recall whether there was blue or the name of the vendor...lotta
help I am!
