Show Question Question on the Connecticut Marine Trade Association Saltwater Sportfishing Show.Has anyone ever attended this show ? Is it worth the long ride to the Hartford Civic Center or is it just another area show? Any feedback would be appreciated as I have an option of this show or a local show to attend in Asbury Park N.J. Looking forward to the sound of a screaming 6/0 from the back of the boat. The Fishin-Technician Irv

Irv, I attended one two years ago. My recollection is that the show focuses primarily on salt and the overwhelming majority of exhibitors are boat salespeople. As I was in the market at the time, I found it worthwhile. I have not returned, nor will I, since purchasing my boat. Unlees, you're looking for a (new) boat, my suggestion is to go local. -SSS-

The reason the show is mostly salt water is because it is called The Connecticut Saltwater Sportfishing Show. Save the commute. Rick.

Gee, Irv....WHY would you want to go to a SALTWATER show???? O \ < ) O / Stick to Asbury...if the show's a dud, at least you can watch the surf at Convention Hall. BTW: Betty+Nicks are running show prices until the end of the Month. Most plugs are at least 25% off, so are reels. Bagel

I guess I'll stay in the home state and spend the toll money on some tuna clones(green and yellow work great)at the Asbury Park show. Thanks for the replys. The Fishin-Technican Irv |
