992.0. "LOOKING FOR A GEORGIA PEACH" by TUNER::CTHOMPSON () Mon Feb 20 1989 12:03

A dream is unfolding for me at this very minute. I have a new job
and will be moving in 1 month to the home of the "Big Ones".
For those of you who don't know, Georgia is the place for me. ;-)

I am going to be needing a friend who can take me out and show
me where the big bass are in the South and teach me how to catch
    my share.

So long to my fishing buddies here in New Hampshire. I am going
to miss you all so very much, but know you all have an open invitation
to visit anytime. You can send me mail at All-in-one @RHQ or @ATO.

I plan to write notes and tell you about all the fish that didn't
    get away on Lake Lanier.

The ABC won't be the same without you Carol, we'll miss ya.

Looking forward to hearing those stories from down south,

    Thanks Don,

I hope I can find a partner or two that can cast and part my hair
like some of my "friends" in the ABC. ;-)

Serriously, it will be hard to duplicate the good times and friends
    I have here in NH.

    Will keep you all posted.

Carol,

It looks like I'll be down in Atlanta for DECUS (may 8-12?). Will that be
in your new "backyard?" If so, maybe we can connect and you can give me a
taste of GA fishing.

Good luck with your new job!

    Yo Carol,

Welcome to the Dixieland, The name here is Ron Loyd and I am a
Field Service Unit Manager in Memphis Tenn. There are plenty of
good Bass'n Buddies in ATO. Two are Gene Boudreau and George Harper
Gene is the Area Support Unit Manager in Building D and George works
over at the CSC ( Harper also owns Harper's Sporting Goods in
Douglasville ). If you ever find yourself up this away give me
a call and I'll show you some fishing Southern Style.. slow and
    easy ;^)

    Later,

i also have just accepted a position in atlanta and will be
on the southern fishing trail. problem is i've never gone bass
fishing. so i'll have to look some of you up when i get down there.
one question i do have is with regard to my present boat. i have
a 20 ft. sea ray and i am wandering if i can use it for fishing
and skiing down on lake lanier or any other navigable water or
should i unload it now up north and gwet something else when i arrive.
i prefer to hold onto it if i can still go bass'n.

Hey Joe,

Been reading this file for a couple of years, but contribute very little.
Just wanted to let you know that I will be attending Geekus also.
I am with the marketing group for SIMG out of CXO and will be working
the Storage booth and seminars for the 3rd time. Maybe we can get together
and break my "no-bass" winning streak. I will be there on Thur. the
week before to set-up the cluster. By Sunday I should be done and waiting
for the show to open.

What you think?

John I.

re: .7

Carol, thank you for the offer. That week will be real busy for me as well
but I do plan to break away at least for one day. I'll be in touch.

Thanks again!

re: .8

John,

I'm planning to fly out on Monday, the 8th, as I am planning to fish a
tourney here on the 7th (providing I can get someone to do my setup!).
Maybe we can get together during the week with Carol.

In any event, let's plan to get together to spin a few tales. I've been
told by others that I'm pretty good at that!

later...

Joe
992.10THE 'REAL' DTN FOR ME IS..SAHQ::THOMPSONMon Apr 03 1989 10:4515
    Folks,

My DTN is 351-2774. This has been a crazy first week in the sunny
    South.

Went up to Lake Lanier Sunday. I could NOT believe my eyes. I love
Winni in NH, but this lake is marvelous. Plenty of places to rent
boats and the lake is just perfect. Lots of islands, lots of shore,
lots of various kinds of cover areas for the BIG ones to lounge
around in waiting for us to haul them into the boat.

I will be looking forward to sharing some time with guests.

    See ya'll,
    Carol
