956.0. "Oklahoma - home of giant fish" by WHYVAX::MARSHALL (I'm the NRA) Wed Jan 25 1989 16:25

The following fish story is from todays edition of Paul Harvey:

An 8-year old boy was water-skiing on a lake in Oklahoma. He fell in.
The boy had an inflatable safety vest on. The boy came to the surface
for a moment but went back under. His father, who had been operating
the boat, jumped in to save his son. When the father dove in, he found
himself and his son in a tug of war with a giant catfish. The father
and son managed to win the battle. The boy was treated at a local
hospital for multiple lacerations of his leg and will recover.

Paul Harvey noted that catfish weighing up to 100 pounds have been
    caught from that lake.

It sounds as if Paul Harvey writes for the Inquirer (i.e. Two
    Headed Newborn Abducted By Aliens).

He's a news commentator. You can hear him on the noontime news
on WBZ radio. He does a 5 or 10 min. syndicated show. He's also
    on 'BZ at 5:55 P.M.

    Just a nit from .1.

The Inquirer is the nation's oldest major newspaper started by Ben
    Franklin in Philadelphia in 17something.

The trash rag that was alluded to in .1 is the Enquirer that some
scumbag started to rip off gullible saps.

    Brett,

Thanks for the enlightenment. I doubt, however, that there's one
in a million Enquirer readers attracted to the paper because they
    confused it with the Inquirer.
