Go to any town or city hall. Also, most K-Marts have them in
the Sporting Goods Dept. Cost is $12 or $12.50 I think.

    	Mike,
John is right, Barbs Bait does sell Licenses, and the only other
place you can purchase one in Westfield MA. is the City Hall. K-Mart
used to sell them 3 years ago, but stopped.

Don't wait till Saturday to find a place that sells licenses, unless
you know *for sure*, because I blew the best part of a Saturday
morning looking for a place my buddy could buy a license, all because
he procrastinated. There just aren't that many places around.
Get it at the nearest town hall.

878.12Out-of-state fishing licenses for Northcentral MassANT::MLOEWELow in sugar; Low in salt; LowenbrauFri Sep 01 1989 09:387
Does anyone know if you can get a one or three day out-of-state license at
KMAT? I always get my resident license there, but some relatives are visiting
and they would like to do some fishing.
City Hall would be the best choice, but I'm thinking of someplace a little more
convenient.

878.13Hard to find on short notice...CASPRO::PRESTONPunch it, Margaret!Fri Sep 01 1989 11:3011
I imagine that if a K-MART sells residence licenses it will sell
non-resident ones too. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't.
Otherwise it's tough to find a non-City Hall place that sells licenses
in a weekend. I went fishing with a friend of mine who neglected
to get a license until the morning we went out, and we lost almost
two hours chasing down places that supposedly - but didn't - sell
licenses. We finally got one at a chainsaw repair shop in the Harvard
area. He sold licenses only because his wife was in charge of selling
them at the local Town Hall.
