What I should have said in 1 was I was looking for a VERMONT location
because of the reciprical registry agreements between mass/vermont plus
I already have VT. Fishing license for the year.
[too cheap to buy a N.H. tag]

| What is the story with the Conn. River??
If you come up it from Mass do you need a Vermont, or a N.H. license?
Is a Mass registered boat legal? Can some one please supply me
with the information.

LES,
Yes, you need a license for every state you fish. If you cross a
border via water make sure you have that states fishing license.
Boats are a little different...
A Mass. boat registration is honered in all but 2 states in the
union. 1 being New Hampshire and the other being like Delaware or
something. Other than that you can take your boat just about anywhere
with a mass reg.
That's why I am asking how much/far is the connecticut river out
of littleton N.H. towards Vermont navigatable in Vermont. I have
a VT fishing licence and a mass reg. is recipricol there.

| I beleive it states in the NH regs that "Vermont NonResident liscences are
only good to the normal low water mark on the Vermont side". Your boat
registration should be valid. NH liscences are valid to the first bridge
up any tributary on the Vermont side. I believe thast applies to resident
and non resident.

| I have the answer to my own question...
The scoop is the Ct. river is the N.H. VT. border and both vt/nh
regs are accepted. Mass is not... NH says I would have to have a
boat tag.
There is a special license/tag you can get if you just want
to use your boat on moore lake.
Moore Lake has NO SPEED LIMITS !!!

| Hi,
Right in Littleton NH there is the Moore Resevoir. I have never fished
there myself but have heard that there are some nice rainbows and
lakers to be taken out of there. Also about 15 iles north of St
Johnsbury there is Lake Willoughby in the town of Westmore. I have
taken a few good sized rainbows out of there this fall. Fishing
styles vary in that lake. I have had best luck trolling streamers at
fast speeds. Most of the fish this time of year are near the surface.
Look on a map of the area you will find many pond, lakes and streams
that have excellent fishing. Most of the lakes in the area have public
boat launches.
Good luck,
SRO
