| I was down off the Bass river on July 28 - 30, It was very spotty
fishing. I then moved up to P-town and saw much more action. I was
there on July 31 to August 1st. Lots of blues just off of North Truro.
I was out between 2 and 5 miles on average. Fish were from top to
bottom on 65' of water. I pulled into the middle of the school, shut
the moter off and casted surface plugs with a light salt set-up with
12# test and was killing them. The only question was which of the 4 blues
trying to hit the plug who was going to get it. Biggest fish was a 20#
(what a fight) and the average was about 12-14#. I also caught some
Fluke off the the point. I hate it when that happens. :-)

I fished Nantucket beachs on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
I fished Great Point, Smith's Point, Eel Point, Jettys beach and
Doinis Beach.
I tried flys, swimmers, (floaters and sinkers) metal, poppers,
sliders, droppers, wire leaders, mono leaders, no leaders, fast
retrives, slow retrives, no retrives,on the bottom, on the top and
in between, in the rips, in the breakers, in the eddies, in the
shallows, and in the deep.
While there are some reports of short bass and a couple of blues,
you cant prove it by me.

| Hay Harlan,
I only fish for about an hour and had 2 nice 10lbs blues saturday!!
I was on my way to my inlaws house in Denis, when my wife and I
stopped at the herring run on the cannal to let the dog out. The
herring are running good. There were a few guys fishing so I watched
for a while. They were getting nice blues. So I ran to the car
got a rod, put on a trebble hook and went back.
They were all fishing live bait.. HERRING. I snagged a herring,
Thats the easy part, then started to fish. First cast and bam
:^) Nice blue. Few minutes later I had one chop my line so we
continued the trip to my inlaws house.
No bass were caught they must be in there as well.
Good Luck
