| State records
There is a booklet put out by the state (MA) each year with the
records in them. Also they are published in Fin and Feathers and
the Outdoor magazines.
The only one I know is for Bullhead 3 1/2 lbs 18" lg. I know cause
I tied the state record last year.

| Those stats are covered in MOOD (mass out of doors maganzine).
You might also try the division of fish and game in Westboro. I
dont have the phone # but it should be in the book. This months
MOOD did have all those fish listed.

What I have are just the Mass awards for 1987. They are not the
state records. However, the three I mentioned were new state records
and the bullhead was a tie. The pickerel award for Mass 1987 was
6 pounds 15 oz.
re .5
What's wrong with Whitehall??? Nothing if you like to catch
11 1/2 - 11 7/8 inch bass all day with an ocassional small pickerel.
All kidding aside, it's tough to catch keeper bass out of there
let alone a good size bullhead. Congratulations though on a nice
catch.
re .7
I don't know which STATE has the record weight, but the WORLD record
weight is 22 pounds 4 oz for a largemouth bass.

782.10 | RELEASE AND USE A REPLICA | STRATA::WOOLDRIDGE | Worm fishermen have stiffer rods | Fri Jul 01 1988 17:02 | 9 |
| YO,
This is slightly off the subject, but the record Muskie is 69lbs!
The record Walleye is 25lbs! These are world records. (not caught
in Mass. of coarse) I also seem to remember both fish were released!
The latest "Fishing Facts" has pictures of the replica fish.
It takes two guys to hold the Muskie. Now THAT is a fresh water
fish! Larger fish are thought to be out there....YIKES.
