Chain-o-lakes is good, (and there is a great bar out on the
water called "BLARNEY'S ISLAND" if the fishing is no good) Indeed
it is an island too.....
I would strongly recommend the drive to Wisconsin to Devils
Lake (near Baraboo). Great camping and nice Walleye, Bass, Pike......
Lake Geneva is also GREAT and DEEP. (But also just over the
state line into Cheese Land).
Depending on where you are at and where you want
to drive I may bele tosteryou into gret places to trash a prop!~

| Nancy I was in Chicago through a weekend last October. I stayed
on E. Ontario & N. Michigan Ave. On Sunday I walked out to the
Navy Pier off Streeter Drive and watched several elderly men fishing
off the bulkhead. One old guy I asked how the fishing was related
he had caught a couple - a trout and a salmon. Being a Granite
Stater, I assumed brook size fish of 8 to 10 inches. When the
fisherman suggested I take a look, his salmon turned out to be about
an 8 pound fish, and the trout (a laker) about 4 pounds. I'm told
the fishing is always good in that area, although different fish
are present in different seasons. Being adjacent to the mouth of
the Chicago River has something to do with it. These men were fishing
in the heart of the city, using shiners about 3 feet from a bobber
and allowed to drift with the wind/current. They claimed to usually
pick up 3 to 4 fish in a morning, sometimes a lot more. I would
be suspect of eating quality, but the next time I'm headed to Chicago
I intend to bring along some fishing gear. You might want to
consider the possibilities that could be found along the Lake Michigan
shore. I was impressed!
