    What a coincidance.

    I was just looking into some Chart kits and the deal is like this.

    These charts are copys of the N.O.A.A. charts and have been compiled
    into a book suitable for easy use on the boat.

    They have differant packs for differant areas .

    I am going to order the Chart packs that cover from Canada down
    to Block Island.(off New port R.I.) and they cost $84.95 if bought
    one kit at a time.

    If I order a Minimum of 6 Chart Kits I can get them for $69.95 Ea.

    Why don't we get as many people together as possible who would like
    to order and send in to get the discount.

    Sign Up.                                    Walt

       THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA...LET ME CHECK WITH MY BROTHER-IN-LAW.
    IT WAS HE THAT WANTED THE CHARTS AND I WAS TRYING TO GET THEM FOR
    HIM AS A GIFT. I'LL ASK HIM IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING HE WOULD
    LIKE TO GET INTO.

       WHERE DID YOU GET THE INFORMATION ON THE CHART KITS? DO THEY
    HAVE KITS FOR JUST THE MASS/NH COASTLINE? I WONDER HOW DEFINED
    THE CHARTS ARE OF EACH AREA.
695.3I really like these!AD::GIBSONWed Apr 27 1988 13:585
    The charts are very good. Excact copys from Uncle Sam. Include
    Loran C lines and cover the whole coast area mentioned.

    Bruce has the best place. I went there just two weeks ago to
get a new chart. The individual charts seem to be a better scale
for me to read. I only use the kits for general info but do have
an old one.

695.6Kits AND chartsMTBLUE::OKERHOLM_PAUThu Apr 28 1988 17:0112
	The kits are good but I still rely on the full charts.
    I have a kit for the Maine coast which I use to plan occational
    trips but if I intend to do much traveling in one area I rely on
    the full charts. Although the charts in the kits are full scale
    they are chopped up to fit on a page. It is pretty easy to want
    info which is on two or more pages. Of course you could go broke
    trying to get all the charts for a wide area so the kits fill the
    bill in that regard. I recommend both.
    	By the way, I ordered some charts direct from NOAA. I got the
    address either in BOATS or SAILING notes. I'll look it up if you
    are interested.
