| | Is the campground open? The lake used to be real nice, wilderness
like. but I havn't been there in 15 yrs. Whats it like now.

That would be a good reason to go Camping and get in some good fising
    at the same time.

Where can you launch a boat? If not I can use my canoe.

    Lets here some more info.

They have a boat ramp a stones throw from the registration desk.
The route to the registration desk is indicated by arrows pointing
the way from the entrance. They also have 2 or more people with
chest waders to assist in getting the boats in the water as there
    are lots of them.

I haven't made up my mind as to whether or not I'm going to
fish this or the Pepsi Cola classic at Milton 3 ponds. The N.H.
state open has been getting to big for its own good in the past
couple of years. On a good day there could be 400+ entries which
means 200+ boats. The Pepsi Cola classic and the open are usually
held on the same day. If not, I may fish both.

The campground isn't officially open at the time of the tournament.
The sponsors basically take over the campground and use the launch
    there.

When the campground is open, only campers can use that launch.
the public launch is in Fundy Bay (see Clark's).

| | Don Mac -
I might like to fish this one. (I will have to break
down and get a N.H. licence I guess) My questions are:

    1. Where do I get a registration form, when must it be in?

    2. How long of a drive is it from Worcester Ma.?

*This sounds like a good 3 day trip where I could get
some fishing in on SQUAM LAKE. I have read this lake
better fishing and less traveled than Winni. and also
quite scenic. Any experience with this lake?

So that you don't have to wait:

    	1. You can get a registration form and register the day of the
tourny at the tourny. This means good weather = larger turnout.

    	2. Depending on where in Worcester your coming from it would
be around 2 hours, give/take about 15-20 minutes.

| | You can also pre-register by mail, I've never done it though, even
though I recieve the entry from by mail...

Has anyone ever registered by mail? If so, do you still have to
check in that morning? Or do they give your number back by mail???

I like the idea of registering the day of the event. However.......
I was told some disturbing news about getting my boat/trailer and
god knows what else registered before I can fish N.H?! Is this true?
Is this the only state in the union like this? Sounds like too much
of a hassle for me if so.......details anyone?

pro and amatuer. Is one a cash prize and the other fisihing gear?

| | Prizes are fishing gear and gift certificates. The prizes are
basically the same for amatuer and pro. Usually a foot operated
trolling motor and battery winds up being first prize for amatuer
and pro. In pro the top 15 I beleive get prizes and the top 20 in
    amatuer and kids division.

| | We were ("Sky King" and I) planning on being at the Winnie derby
this weekend. Rick's boat with motor overhaul didnt run this past
weekend and is back at the Dr's. I dont want to take the Bassboat
out on Winnie this time of year.
Whats going on? I read the entire base note and replies. I dont
want to join even 200 boats. Whats else is going on? You want to
    do a DEC bass tourney??
Tell me more about the other tourney thats going on. Where is it?
Dont get crazy and start up somthing. If his boat is not back..
we are fishing in mine - at some bass site.
Nice win Don.. Sure got quiet after that..

| | Hats off to Holeshot Joe. Joe won the Amateur division of the open,
weighing in over 6lbs - and was the only person in the tournament
to weigh-in 6 fish. Good job Joe. RayJ Dodier finished in the
top 20, they have prizes down to slot #20. (I was in the high 20s)

Rick "R/O" Palmer (last years Aamateur/Overall winner) took 4th place
in the Pro division - and his son Shawn Palmer took 4th place in the
    Youth division.

    Nice job boys!

After last year's easy win, I guess I'll fish the PRO division where there's
more competition. My son, Seth, is putting up his own $20 entry fee to fish
in the Amateur division. He's confident that he can place! What a real
feather in his cap if he does, huh?
See y'all there, bright 'n early!
