Since I don't know if you're a fly fisherman or not, it's tough
to offer advice; however I was out in the area last weekend, so
    here's some info.
The Deerfield from Buckland to Charlemont seems high right now,
and fishing pressure is minimal. The best stretches are actually
along the Zoar/Rowe road (go right off rte 2 past Charlemont). There's
also a stretch of "Catch 'n Release" on the Cold river (go right
before the bridge on rte 2 with the wire overhang. this is after
the bridge I just mentioned, and past a large brown Bar, and a snack
place called "the Rebels"). I suggest 6lb max. for line, and dark
spinners if it's bright out, and bright spinners if not. Otherwise,
Salmon eggs or pieces of worm, or nymphs, wets or streamers (dark
    nymphs/wets, bright/maribou streamers).
The Cold river stretch is regulated by a dam, and it has been running
higher lately because they have the gates open. Consider fishing
the heads or tails of the pools, or specific pockets you can see.
That way, at least you'll know you're fishing where there is fish.
Also, if the water is real high, i'd suggest short (3') leaders.
One more place you might want to try is Wilcox Hollow. It's on
the left going out rte 2 about a half mile from Gould's Sugar House
(midway between Gould's and the State Police Barracks) and has a
small wood sign. It's a dirt road for 1/2 mi. to the river, but
the place is loaded with smallmouths in summer. Spinners and Rapalas
work well here; in fact, Rapalas work well everywhere at dawn or
    dusk.

    tight lines,
