664.1 | ZIP_LOK for me | GENRAL::HUNTER | from SUNNY Colorado, Wayne | Thu Apr 07 1988 21:07 | 8 |
| I didn't have much trouble last winter. Put each different
color in a seperate zip-lok bag and purged as much air as possible.
Then don't let them get overly hot or overly cold. All the worms,
crayfish, etc. things came through fine. As for the skirts on spinner
baits and jigs, I just bought new ones. They're cheap and the new
ones have more action than the old ones. Old rubber loses its movement
capability. That action gets a few extra hits. So, the cost is
worth it. (my opinion).

664.2 | Is it worm-proof ????? | VICKI::DODIER | | Fri Apr 08 1988 09:07 | 8 |
| re:0
If your worms are sticking to your tackle box then your
tackle box is not worm-proof. I would suggest that you may want
to look into a new one if this is in fact what your saying. Otherwise
the zip-locks will work fine.

| re;-) Rubber Baits.....
Always buy the best quality. Shiek, Trojon,
and Sparton to name a few...!
Actually RayJ said it. Get yourself a divided wormproof box to store
those suckers in.

| BUY THE TOP QUALITY BOXES... They are easy to spot, You will notice
a few more digits on the price tag. If your spinner bait skirts
are melting together, just seperate them and don't let them touch
your plastic worms. The silicon worms will eat-up rubber skirts.

| if your using bargin buyer worms it's a good habit to kind of
wiggle them around between your cheeks and gums,, this gives them
a much longer life, then gently store them away for the next trip.
and look at the money you save from buying big red.

| If it hasn't been said, keep the colors separate!! One year I bought
a lot of worms by the pound at a winter sportsman show and left
them in the baggie 'til spring. When I went to use them, they were
all the same color, kinda lavender.

| Has anyone tried those rubber worms...Kangaroo Worms?
they are the ones that have a pouch in them, where you put Bass juice
on a piece of cotton, and stuff it in the pouch.
are they good? Useless?

| I suspect the Kangaroo worms do catch fish, but I also suspect they catch
more fisherman! They may be hot during spawn if you put a piece of Alka
Seltzer tablet in the pouch. The fizzing action can really irritate them
into striking.
