I have been looking for a real good book on AQUATIC PLANTS. I think that this is one of the most overlooked "secrets" in locating fish. Bass eat smaller fish & crawfish and the like. Right? Small fish & crawfish eat smaller organizims and plants. Right? But I understand that some plants are not part of the food chain and acctually repulse fish. Not to mention some plants give off needed oxigen and some plants give off very little. Are we wasting our time casting into structure that cant hold fish? Looging for Mr. Goodbook BUCKETMOUTH..........

There's an old (circa 1950-55, I think) book by Sid Gordon titled "How to Fish From Top to Bottom", which answers all of your questions.

Clark's NH Fishing Guide has 12 pages devouted to vegatation with pictures, decriptions, how fish relate to them etc... And the individual lake/pond maps have notes on which types of vegatation exist. It also covers PH, oxygen content, etc... Good book. Don Mac
