I tried that, but after I launched the boat and realized the
motor wouldn't get me very far, I found out the worms or shiners
won't dig through the ice.

Please remember, some of us haven't even slowed down yet. Not all
on this conference are stuck back in Mecca.
By the way, had a Mr. Roache from your neck of the woods over last
weekend to do some sturgeon fishing. He wasn't in my boaat, so
I didn't get to talk to him, but I heard he reads the notes file.
The question I have, is: What was that cop on your boat for so
long????

A Western St. College student caught a 36 in., 30lb. 8oz. brown
trout in a public pond near the East River just north of Gunnison,
Co. This broke the old state record by more than 5 lbs.! It was
caught on light tackle. The guy on the news last night said it was
being checked as a possible world record.

| Everything on your list Bob, is done. I still have four items on
back order with Bass Pro, but 80% of the order is complete and in
the tackle box, on the reels or in the boat.
My equipment is on the way to Texas where I will catch up with it
on Friday and spend the next three days using it......so, I guess
I qualify for Spring Fever, aka. Cabin Fever.......And next month
I'll be in Florida doing some serious big bass fishing on a little
pond called Okachachobee....Its a tough job, but someone has to
do it:^)

it for my trip... Still have ALOT to do... Had the flu for a week,
put me WAY behind....
Most of Bob's list is done... The trailer wheels are in the basement
waiting for new bearings... When I went to install the buddies and
repack the bearings I found some bad ones -- and the spares I picked
were the wrong ones.... back to Bliss Marine...
Have fun in Texas guys! Ron sounds like you'll be at Okeechobee
just 2-3 weeks after me... Don't worry, all those HAWGS will have
had a chance to forget what iron tastes like by then!

the garage. Getting it back there was a little bit of a problem,
getting it out should be easier. But here in NH we have a "4th"

or its wait until much later and dryer.

What did I do you ask. Nothing that strange, I just bought my new
Downrigger Rod and 8' Shimano and on the way home I just had to
stop by the "Wilderness Outfitters" and say hi to my Bass Boat which
is in storage. Now do you guys think that stopping to say hello
to your Bass Boat is so strange?

| Don't know about anyone else, but I don't have SPRING FEVER!
:-) :-) 8-)
If you don't believe me, ask my wife!
So far, I have re-spooled all 8 reels; taken the DAIWA down
and re-lubed it for the kid; filled both tackle boxes to the point
that if you don't set on top of them when you pop the latches, you
will be picking up rubber worms, trailer baits, and etc. all over
the house; blown up both belly-boats and sat around watching fishing
shows in them for the last 2 weeks; unfolded the waders and sat
in the bathtub full of water to check for leaks; watched the snow
fly and cussed; leaving Friday for Phoenix to find some open WARM
water to catch fish. NO, I DON'T HAVE SPRING FEVER, MUCH!!!!!!

| My will power gave out!!!!
Saturday was absolutely BEAUTIFUL in New Hampshire. The sun was
warm and friendly, the birds were singing cheep cheep, cheep cheep,
which when translated means - go fishing, go fishing - so I did!!!
I pulled out my new ultra-lite spinning gear, jumped in the car
and headed for the Sohegan River looking for Mr. Trout.
Four hours later, back home watching Rollin Martin I felt like a
new man. No I didn't catch Mr. Trout, but that's O.K. at least I
got a chance to try out my new gear and get a line in the water.
Do you think the fishing god will punish me. I hpe not.

| Fish Fever, wassat??
A few weeks back, I tied the little 10' John Boat to the back of
the 4x4, had my neighbor drive the truck and pull me around an open
snow covered field while I was a'trollin' and a'castin' (got a bit
rough when I tried to toss the anchor over 'cause I thought I found
a Hot-Spot! (-;
Actually, have been fishin' 4 times in the river thus far... no
luck yet, but it sure has felt good just getting out there and casting
a few, sigh... water warm up!
am in the process of selling my house and tryng to buy a new one...
one of my questions to each realtor is "wheres the nearest water?".
Good luck to all in early bassin' or whatever.

| ALL RIGHT. WHO ORDERED THE SNOW????????? When I find out I'll
make sure you never fish my favorite lake!!!!!!
Someone out there must have heard that I wanted to go fishing
Saturday. Well, there is about 2" of snow on the ground, snowing
hard, and 30 MPH winds. Supposed to continue through tomorrow.
All I can hope is that it gets back East for the weekend and lets
it warm up here!!! :-)
Oh well, finally got all of my licenses for the year. Now to
start fishing for real. Vacation trips are nice, but I like to
fish water I have seen before when I get serious about fishing.
(I know, using the terms "getting serious" and "fishing" in the same
sentence is a contradiction). This weather is about to drive me
to drinking. (I don't need much help there either.) If summer
doesn't get here soon, I think I'll go CRAZY!!!! Next year won't
be so bad since I get to ski again.
THINK SUMMER!!!!!

| Where are you two deviants seeking the Bronzebacks ? I wanna be
sure not to visit the place for a while to give the fish a chance
to recover. Here's a tip from Big Billy of Northern Bass: light
green grubs, and fish out from the gravelly shallows. Let us know
how ya do; I'd be fishin' myself, but I've got 6 High School hoop
games to watch, and have to do TV "color" on one of 'em - Girls
Div. 1 State Championships (maybe they'll let me hand out the towels
in the locker room...).
