477.0. "NEW - Monomonac Tourney Note" by AIMHI::TOMAS (Joe) Wed Sep 16 1987 14:39

This is the NEW "OFFICIAL" note for the Monomonac Tourney. All replies to
this note MUST be relative to the tourney. Please...let's keep this one
clean.

Following are extracts from the old 440 note regarding team entries and the
latest rules and regulations.

Following are the FINAL Rules & Regs...

WHERE : Monomonac Lake, Rindge, NH
WHEN : Sept. 19, 1987, Saturday (RAIN OR SHINE!!)
WHO : Anyone is invited as long as one member of the team is a DEC
         employee.
TIME : 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a MANDATORY weigh-in and lunch break at
the beach from 11:00 AM to noon.
WHAT : 2 person TEAM event.
FEES : $20/team and $5/person for the Hawg Pool (optional)
LIMITS: 20 bass/team (10 bass per each weigh-in)
SIZE : 12" minimum length, measure with pinched tail.

RULES:

1. HAVE FUN!

2. Violators of Rule #1 may be banned from all future events!

3. ONLY artificial lures allowed - NO live/dead bait allowed (excluding
     pork strips/frogs).

3a. ONLY ONE line/person in the water at a time.

3b. NO trolling.

4. "CATCH & RELEASE" policy in effect.

5. MANDATORY LUNCH BREAK & WEIGH-IN - 11AM to 12PM at the beach area.

     - You are required to remain in the general beach vicinity during
       this period.

     - Bring your own food & charcoal if you're cooking.

6. 50 Yard Rule - All boats must keep at least 50 yards distance from
     another boat's "territory." No crowding-in.

7. PAYOFFS! - There will be a 50%-30%-20% spit of the pool for 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd place teams. The Hawg Pool goes to the person weighing the
heaviest bass. In the event of a tie, winner will be determined by
     greatest length.

There will be a door-prize drawing at 7AM. Winner will receive a
Zebco Pro Staff, 6'6" medium-heavy spinning rod with a Daiwa reel.

8. Starting time will be 7AM prompt from the marina. All powered boats
with motors > 5 HP will draw for starting positions. Canoes & boats
with < 5 HP will leave AFTER all powered boats depart to prevent
     potential swamping from their wakes.

9. Final weigh-in will be at 4:00 PM at the launch site for ALL. Given
that this event is an all-day affair, it should not be necessary to
grant additional time extensions for the smaller boats.

10. DEAD FISH AT WEIGH-IN - NO dead fish may be weighed in at the noontime
weigh-in. They must be held until the final weigh-in and must be

Second...I can't possibly conceive of an award that you might win.

Joe, Whats the procedure for the way boats will be leaving from

Sigh...

for once, the Legend is right.

Yes, we will be drawing for starting position. We will also be drawing for
the door prize.

R/O brought up an interesting thought...

WHAT IF...fishing is so lousy and EVERYONE gets their clocks cleaned?!?

Does everyone get his/her money back??

Naw...I don't like that. It's kinda like gambling in Las Vegas for a day
and "breaking even."

Just to cover all the bases...I propose we simply have another drawing.

But, then again....38 people can't totally get skunked...(can they?)

hmmmm....

Now, now, now....ladies...

Let's just calm down a little and save your frustrations and anxieties for
Saturday. I know it's difficult, but try to exercise a little restraint.

Long range weather forecasts say that it will be cloudy and cool with some
chance of drizzle or rain. If that's the case, then we'll quickly find out
who the fair-weathered fairies are! (oops...was that a dirty??) In any
event, I'm not gonna let a little wetness dampen my spirits. I'll be
there... ready to show you all what bassin is all about and with just a
little fun (heh...heh) thrown in to liven things up.

And if you behave...I'll even "bless the fleet."

Merrimack football, Rick selling dogs or somthing... Draw a line

    wimp.)
For those that have or could have a CB/VHF aboard, we coulld exchange
"lines" while washing lures on saturday. Channel 11 on CB. Its
been interesting while doing salmon derbies etc. All you need is
a outlet jack, magmount Antenna and your all set.

Wished I had seen/fished this place before. Those that fished it before
have a slight advantage. Joe can you or anyone express how it compares
with Pawtuckawa with regards to under water rocks and other goodies.
    well marked???
477.15AIMHI::TOMASJoeThu Sep 17 1987 09:5623
Jack,

Sorry to hear that Rick can't make it. Tom's in.

There's really no way to compare Monomonac with Pawtuckaway as far as a bass
lake is concerned. Pawtuck is a far superior and much more productive lake.
It will take some real talent and expertise to catch bass at Monomonac. I
heard that an 8 pounder was caught there recently, but you'll have to work
for it! Given the weather forecast and Monomonac's reputation for being a
tough lake, anyone that catches bass deserves some credit. Remember, with
all the people fishing there in the spring tourney, only THREE bass were
weighed in!

As in most lakes, the water level is down quite a bit. There are both
channel markers AND rock markers on the lake. R/O has been out there a
couple of times already and he will fill us in on the situation at the
launch site.

BTW...if you want to spend your time "ratchet-jawing" on the "radidio" then
that's just fine by me. That's just one less line in the water!
OK, Good Buddy....10-4! Roger-dodger... I'm gone...

You don't have to worry about rocks, especially out in the middle...
8^) - seriously, there's a huge rock pile in the middle of the
lake, we'll make sure everyone knows where it is before the start...

If the last two nights have been any sign of things to come for
this weekend, the fish should be turned on. Last night I caught
6-7 bass at the honeyhole, the night before I got 4... Maybe the
fall feed'n frenzy has begun at Monomonac as well... hope so..

477.17A seriuos question.JOULE::SNOWThu Sep 17 1987 10:2616

I was on the lake two weeks ago, and the rock pile in the middle
of the lake is well marked. I also understand there is an area
around one of the islands near the marina that has a lot of stumps
    just under the surface.

I have a serious novice fisherman type question. When I was there
I noticed the water had a definite weak coffee colored tinge to
it. Is this what I have heard referred to as "stained water"? And
if so, what does that mean to a fisherman?

Am really looking forward to my first tourney.
    Dan

P.S. Can't wait to meet you guys face to face.

477.18AIMHI::TOMASJoeThu Sep 17 1987 10:3114

Heh...heh...

Hey, Dan...ask us about "stained water" AFTER the tourney. We'd be glad to
answer your questions then.

BTW...

It seems that since we can't "blast" in the notes, the VMS Message Router is
getting some h-e-a-v-y duty action between certain individuals. That's the
spirit guys...I LOVE IT!

One more thing...

Will some of you please try to bring smaller bills (i.e. $5 bills) so that I
don't have to break larger bills.

Also...there is normally a $3 launch fee at the ramp, however, they offer a
50% discount for tourneys. I will be happy to collect $1.50 from each team
to pay the launch fees...but again, please bring change.

Geez, the poor guy asks a legit question and just because a couple
bozo's (ooops a 4 letter word) don't know what stained water is
themselves they give the poor guy a hard time...

The color-c-lector breaks down water into 3 categorys, clear, STAINED,
and muddy. The rule of thumb that they go by to determine what
type of water your fishing is to drop the probe down to you can't
see it - they then have a chart, if it goes out of sight at X feet
it's X clarity - now, do any of you gizmo junkies remember how the
    scale breaks down exactly...

And Joe's right about one thing..... maybe we shouldn't have tightened

Thanks for the input Don. Like you, I remember seeing this on one
of those cable fishing shows, but can't remember the break down
either. Those other guys (and yes I'm referring to you mr. l) must
not be too sure of their own fishing ability if they're afraid to
offer a pointer or two to a rank beginner.

The way I see this legend FELLA, they better get him into the
FUNNY-FARM real soon. He seems to have these dreams of grandore.
The nut house is the place for him. He's living in a fantasy
world. And by the way, if anyone believes that the "THE BIG HAWG"
apologized to this poor accuse of an abortion, you just might have
to join him in the nut house. This guy really can't distinguish
a childhood fantasy form the real world. I must now dedicate a
song to this dreamer that can be heard on the Dr. Demento show
by Napoleon 13 th. It's call "THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE ME AWAY..."
and finishes off by saying "...HA,HA. TO THE FUNNY FARM, WHERE
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ALL THE TIME..." This so called legend also
reminds me of the character of the WIZARD in THE WIZARD OF OZ.
He also thought that he was all powerful and all knowing. But

Assuming that these Fishing notes are supposed to be informative
as well as humorous, here's a suggestion on fishing "stained" water:
try a 1/4 oz. chartreuse spinnerbait with tandem blades (either
copper blades or chartreuse blades and fish shallower. Grass beds
are good (if you can find 'em, or multiple obstructions like
stumpfields. Boat docks can also be good, and don't forget to try
    "buzzin'". O.k., boo me!

Things are starting to get TOO SERIOUS when they shouldn't! One thing I
don't want is to have anyone showing up at the tourney with bad feelings

reason for it!

Soooo...

DAN S. -

I know John, and despite whatever you got for mail messages,
you STILL must take it in the spirit of this fun event. He really
	means no harm.

TO THE REST OF US -

In the spirit of good sportsmanship and fun, let's CAN IT until Saturday.
Then...once we've all had a chance to meet each other and realize that the

Otherwise... I'll just pull out of it and let someone else run the damn

We've already had one team cancellation and a couple changes in partners.
If someone with a boat has a last minute partner cancellation, Mike Loewe

Hi Joe,

My name's Mike Loewe, we may have met at the last Monomonac gathering
early this spring since I fished that one.

I've been interested in the tournament, but I haven't been able to come
up with a partner, especially one with a boat/motor. I do have a canoe
with an electric trolling motor, but from the sound of what this gathering
is going to be, I don't think it's feasible to bring it. So, if there any
more cancellations or another individual with a boat looking for a partner,
please give me a call. I can be reached at DTN 296-5980 during days or
(617) 537-1366 evenings. I can keep myself available up to Saturday morning.
BTW I think << name deleted >> is going to fall flat on his face.

Mike

Sorry we were late but it was worth the ride to meet the LEGEND
I now have formed a new respect for the LEGEND. Upon MY arrivial
the LEGEND went down on one knee to shake my hand. A true gentle
mans gesture. To bad he didnt get a chance to wet his line I would
have liked to fish against him. We left early due to getting wet
thru in about 2hrs. Hope to fish with you guys another time. Good
    luck fishing, until next time:

I want to let the rest of you know. that not only did the LEGEND
get skunked but he never even made it out onto the lake. He and
Mr. BASS never even made it past the docks. Mr. LEGEND, I like
the way you got down on one knee and shook the hand of my partner.
And by the way, I remember reading a note that said if you got
skunked, that you would kiss Tomas's behind. When is this going
to happen. I would love to be present for that one. I'll talk
    to you later.

What can I say...I am still really bummed out about Saturday.
I felt like a rookie! There we were two hours into the tourney
and I never even got my line wet. We had trouble with the motor.
I was sitting there wishing someone would pinch me hoping it was
all a bad dream...I drove all the way to Ringe to hand over $15.00
and get soaked for nothing. We finally gave in and call it a day.
Mr.Brickley and his NOT TO SWIFT partner came in and tried to help
out with suggestions but nothing worked. I won't say anything bad
about Dan Snow leaving...After Saturday it is going to take me a
little time before I can say anything about anyone elses Lack of
fishing skills...I looked like a total Unpprepared ROOKIE on Saturday!
As for all the guys ..It was nice meeting all of you. We will

477.88THE RESULTS ARE IN!FEISTY::TOMASJoeMon Sep 21 1987 12:10119
OK folks...the results ARE IN!!

First, CONGRATULATIONS are in order for the the team of R/O Palmer and
Bassin' Bob Puishys for blowing the rest of us away! They weighed in a
whopping 13 Lbs 10 Ozs of meat, with 12 Lbs 2 Ozs by the noontime weigh-in!
And KUDOS to Bassin Bob for bringing a REAL HAWG to the scales...6 Lbs 2 Ozs!!
NICE GOING GUYS!!

Second Place team was the team of Jerry & Diana Weisback with a nice total
weight of 5 Lbs 12 Ozs. And who said women can't fish!! All I want to know
is if it was Diana that caught them!??

Third spot goes to Mike Loewe & Lou Hohos who fished from a CANOE!! They
had a total weight of 4 Lbs 13 Ozs. Give them a great big ATTABOY!!

Not far behind in 4th position was good Ole Lavender Jack Hagerty & Tom
Coots with a total of 3 Lbs 6 Ozs. Almost, Jack!

Tied for 5th position with the same weight were the teams of Ed Guertin &
Dave Stone and Rich Neal & his partner, Lindsay Allison. Ed did manage to
have a single bass weighing in at 2 Lbs 5 Ozs while Rich & Lindsay needed
two bass to equal Ed's big one. None-the-less, we have to give them credit
for weighing in bass!

And last, but certainly not least, 6th place awards went to Al Whitman &
Bart Lasky with a bass that tipped the scales at 1 Lb 4 Ozs. Nice going, Al
and Bart!

NOW...for the rest of us (including ME)...well....uh...mmmm....it was a
DonMac type of day!! Ahyuh.....BIG GOOSE-EGGS!! I'll add more commentary
in following replies, I want to get the results posted first.

Let me just say that the weather couldn't have been much worse short of a
Nor'easter (try to convince R/O and Bob of that, though!). The rain was
heavy at times and the wind literally howled...there were whitecaps on the
lake in the afternoon!! Trying to keep our boats positioned in the wind
certainly drained the elec. motor batteries!

OK..here's the results...

NOW I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE EXCUSES WERE!!

HEY LEGEND...

I've never seen a couple of REAL NOVICES or LANDLUBBERS like these two guys!
Talk about not being prepared! If it were me...I would have at least used
my electric motor and fished the cove for the day. I mean...you were
already there and had paid up so at least you could have TRIED!! SO it
seems that now we're gonna have to listen to his cockamamy excuses.

BTW, Legend...stop by and see me....I've got a couple of awards for you.

YO, NIGHTCRAWLER...

So you win the rod and reel and then slither away into oblivion, huh? It's
obvious that the competition was too much for you. Give that team a CHICKEN
AWARD!

To DON PARDO & THE STRIPER KING BROPHY...

It was real tough luck losing your electric motor overboard. I'm sure
everyone feels real bad about it. For those of you that thought you were
wet and cold....John stripped down to his skivvies and went diving in 20' of
water looking for his motor....but no luck! BUT...you can forget about us
setting up a DON PARDO RELIEF FUND!!

HEY BRICKLEY & POMEROY...

Where were you guys? What a couple of wimps! First they're late and don't
pay up...then they don't catch anything in the first couple of hours and
decide to pull out alltogether. WIMP-A-ROONIES PLUS!

DONMAC & BRIAN...

That's OK, guys....your performance was only to be expected. I knew it was
a waste of my time making that Certificate of Improvement! Oh well...
there's more tourneys next year for you to lose your money in, so don't feel
too bad.

ME & FLETCHER

I guess my only excuse was that I had to concentrate too much on running
this show....who's here...who's paid up...who didn't pay...weigh-ins...etc.
Despite the foul weather, I still had a good time and enjoyed meeting the
faces behind the names.

WHERE WAS RANGER RON & TBDW???

Hey guys....WHY DID YOU WIMP OUT??? Geez...I dunno 'bout you two.

BTW...if you're looking for an excuse...

I think if the WORM had any decency at all he would give the ROD & REEL he
won to back Diana Weisbach for two reasons:

1: her name was drawn first

(for those not present, there was some confusion at
the time of the drawing as to whether or not the
Weisbachs would get away from the dock due to boat
problems so she graciously withdrew her name from
the eligible entries in the interest in fairness)

2: she stayed all day and fished instead of taking off

477.98The "OFFICIAL" RULINGFEISTY::TOMASJoeMon Sep 21 1987 13:5914
Before this gets out of hand, and as the "Tourney Coordinator," I do have to
say that when the name was drawn for the door-prize, Jerry & Diana had
already "officially" withdrawn and were refunded their tourney fees. It was
just too wet to go rummaging through all the names in the hat to remove
those that weren't fishing. Also, the agreement was that IF they were able
to get their boat started and were able to compete, they would pay me the fees at
the noontime lunch break, which they did. SO, Kyle DID win the door-prize
fair and square.

And Jerry & Diana ended up taking 2nd place despite their late start!

was awarded the "PIGSTY AWARD" - "For showing us a bass boat that looks like

explanation.

The Legend was SO PROUD that he was recognized with these awards and told me
that he would try his best to continue living up to them in the future.

In retrospect, I think one more award should be presented to Chris "Mr BASS"
Ryan...."THE WORST PREPARED AWARD"!!

There were three other awards that went to people that weren't at the Awards

    Re.104
Boy Joe, your all heart! I knew I could count on someone
    helping me out in here.

As far as another tourney goes I was thinking...If next year we
got together and go up to Winni for a week end Fri,Sat. and Sun.

The people who need a license could buy a 7 day one. We could camp
out and Have one hell'va time..Make the stakes real high and have
the tourney both Sat. and Sun till noon, leaving Friday for practice..
    Thats for Bass'in BOOB's benefit!

Think of all the mud slinging I could do...Boy, by the end of the
day I would be afraid to close my eyes in the tent!

I will be more then willing to put it together with Joe. We could
make it for late May early June time frame!

Smallmouth Season....We have plenty of time to talk about it!

I have all kinds of camping equipment and a tent that will sleep
six comfortablly! I will only charge $30.00 a night for anyone
needing a place to sleep..I know its high but I feel is still a
better price than what the hotels in the area are charging!!!
    SHOP AND COMPARE!

Although I can not guarantee your saftey...Be in my tent could be
    life threatening!

Lets toss this thing around and see what people think....If it flies
and you want to book a bed at the LEGEND MOTEL...Please send CASH

477.111"He's baaaaack!"FEISTY::TOMASJoeTue Sep 22 1987 10:00105
The day of the tourney
  Is now over and done
It rained like hell
  But we all had fun!

For those of there
  And those that stayed
Saw R/O and Bassin Bob
  A big hawg they weighed.

They cleaned our clocks
  They took it all
And from what I heard
  They had a real ball.

Now quite a few showed
  At the ramp that morning
But no one took heed
  Of the Legend's warning.

For the Legend did fail
  To even make a cast
As he and Mr Bass
  Were using old gas.

Their motor was pulled
  A thousand times and more
It barely even sputtered
  While still tied to shore.

So they left us all
  In the cold and rain
To drink some beers
  Till they felt no pain.

Alas there were others
  Who wimped out that day
Like Nightcrawler and Snow
  They just couldn't stay.

They couldn't take it
  Like true bassers at heart
They called it quits
  What bunch of ole farts!

But the spirits of the rest
  Remained mighty and high
Fighting the elements of nature
  While trying to stay dry.

But a misfortune had struck
  Don Pardo and his crew
Don's motor went overboard
  And Don after it too.

He searched and he dragged
And he dove for an hour
He just couldn't find it
  It wasn't in his power.

It was Don Pardo's misfortune
  A stroke of bad luck
As he watched his motor
  Sink into the muck.

But still there are others
  I must let you know
Who showed up that day
  And helped make the show.

We were all gathered
  And I yelled real loud
"Where is the Nightcrawler?"
And a "YO" came from the crowd.

There was the Worm
  As thin as a pole
Soon after he left us
  He slithered to his hole.

But not until after
  His boat went adrift
It was DonMac that helped him
  He give him a lift.

Ah yes, DonMac
  We can't forget him
Once again he went fishless
  His future is quite dim.

Poor Don must be used
  To being empty-handed
And going to these tourneys
Not a bass has he landed.

But cheer up, my friend
  For your day will come
When you go to a weigh-in
  And you'll finally have some.

So now I must finally
Bring this poem to a close
To let some others
  Answer back with their prose.

Nope. Dont own a cowbow hat. See no reason why I wouldnt tho. You?
I had the grape/metallic (lavendar) bass boat. Did you see the shotgun
I had in the rod locker? This team also had the "Legend-busters"
stickers on our rain suits. Maybe you should hold up on purchasing
a good hat and invest in a rain suit. Notice how they worked real
    nice.
Mr Coots (my partner told me to bring the gun, and then not to use
it after SEEING the LEGEND) and I will set up another one. We will
have to do it here since Im not going to have the time or energy
to register my boat in MA. Its also really too late to expect anyone
else to spend that $$ for - one weekend??
We will also keep an eye on the weather and
call it off if the weather looks anything close to what we saw last
saturday. So far the weekend/day will be saturday Oct 17.

Who can make it?? If enough show an interest, we will pick a place
either real good or real close to NH depending on who is going.

Pawtuckaway may already be on its way down as I recall a Park Ranger telling

Maybe a call to the Park Services might be in order to confirm.

Obviously, the Legend is starting to smarten up a little and covering his
A** early with potential excuses for not going. He knows that neither DonMac
nor myself would ever consider having that perch-jerker as a partner...and for
that matter...no one else would either! At least no one in their right mind.
But then again, we've all seen some people that weren't in their right
minds... like Mr Bass...and the Worm...and Don Pardo...and a few others. So
who knows...maybe the Legend will manage to find someone dumb enough to
occupy the same boat with him. It will certainly make for some interesting
excuses like...

if his partner was Mr Bass:

   "The motor STILL WONT'T START!"

if his partner was Don Pardo:

"The motor fell overboard!" (sorry, DP...I couldn't resist)

if his partner was the Worm:

"My partner forgot to put line on the reel he won!"

All I can say, Legend, is that if we do another....YOU BETTER BE THERE!

if he is going, or planting seeds for an excuse to slither away..
One of the quirks at this lake is you cant get your feet, or anything
else, in the water. Its Manchesters water supply. Im bringing chest
waders and will help who ever forgot a pair of boots - unless your
capable of launching without getting wet!! They watch real close,
so dont even think you can get away with it.

    So far.
    Hags/Coots
    Joe T and ???
    Mike Vallincourt and ???
    Legend and ???

who did I miss?? (Ill go back and read the notes again too.)

I'll be able to go if its an early one! 7-1:00 sounds good!

The Legend DOES NOT slither from anyone or thing! You have me missed
up with the WORM..Does anyone know if this clown is still alive
    or what?!

    I'll be there...

Jack...

Count the team of HoleShot Joe and R/O Palmer in.

A couple of comments....

First, I propose that we do this tourney even if we just get a small
turnout. Competition is fun, regardless of how many show up.

Second, I suggest that we also have a sideline type of competition going...
one team vs another. Each man on the winning team gets to select one lure
of choice from the loser's tackle box!! Neat, huh?

OH...BTW...

I just got a call from our Cajun buddy down south, CoonAss Bob. He'll be in
MKO for the next couple of days for some training, so anyone who wants to
meet him, let me know. He'll be having dinner at my house tomorrow nite.
Unfortunately, his schedule doesn't permit him to get any time in enjoying
some of our fine Yankee bassin.

Whoever ends up with the legend in this tourney better
be prepared to row because after the last tourney I don't
think the legend could handle anymore embarassment.

If we want to meet C.A. bob, do we have to have dinner at your house?

    nothin against Mrs.Tomas.

477.146VENOM::WATERSThe Legend of the LakesTue Sep 29 1987 16:5311
Sure! Why not! Everyone is invited to Joe Tomas' house tomorrow
night for dinner! Don't bring a thing, Joe will have a spread your
    not going to believe.

    						Thanks , Joe

From all of us! Does your wife still have a highchair kicking around?

If not let me know and I'll bring all the equipment we'll need!

Do you mind if WE sleep over?

Hey Legend....

Sure....c'mon over! The moment my wife gets a look at you, she'll grab the
nearest 2x4 and lay it right across YOUR FACE!!! THEN...I'll have to spend
the rest of the night trying to convince her that I DON'T GO FISHING WITH
BOZOS LIKE YOU!

As for the rest of you...I'm hoping the famous Coonass Bob will be able to
take a lunch break around noontime. So for those of you at MKO or who feel
the need to travel up north to meet Coonass, give me a call and we'll see
what we can do. But PLEASE...only one autograph per person!

Sorry...he couldn't bring Phideaux with him. Some sort of restrictions
about having a 12' alligator bag that was still alive.

477.148Best Wishes to CoonAssPIGGY::VARLEYWed Sep 30 1987 11:1514
Wish I knew CoonAss Bob was coming up sooner; I'd have invented
a bogus meeting in MKO (after all, why would anyone go to New Hampshire
for any legitimate reason ?) to meet him. My sister lives in Victoria
Texas, and tells some great Cajun stories (generally describing
them as "the defendant"), but no one tells 'em better 'n ole CoonAss
    Bob himself.
By the way, do you know the 3 times in his life a Cajun sees a
    priest ?

    - when he's born, when he's married, and when he's executed.
Hope to catch CoonAss on the flip flop, and don't get him started
    on LSU feetball...

Jack, I may be able to attend but would probably want to fish
without a partner. How about if we leave it open and whoever shows
up puts in 10 bucks and biggest 5 fish wins all???

    				Winner takes all!!!

Well, the Legend didn't heed my warnings very well about what my wife would
do if he showed up for dinner last nite and to meet Coonass Bob!

SO....if any of you see the Legend around next week with a BROKEN nose and
wearing a cast...you'll know that my wife is real handy with a 2x4!
