Ya, you can buy a repair kit. It's the same stuff that we used as
kids to repair the tires of bikes.
Just cut a patch, put the cement in and go. It's common at sporting
goods store or were they sell bikes.

| Depends on which type of waders you have. If they are the
ultra-light nylon ones or the vinyls, get a vinyl repair kit at
K-mart or other goody store.
If they are the heavy rubber ones, get the bicycle tire patch kit
(unless you're talking MAJOR PATCH, then get a truck tire repair kit).
If they are the Neoprene waders, go to a fishing tackle
distributor and get the tape repair kits.

383.3 | try BOOT PATCH | HPSCAD::BPUISHYS | Bob Puishys | Tue Jun 23 1987 10:52 | 14 |
| The best stuff I ever used is called
"BOOT PATCH" it is pure silicone rubber in a tube. Put a big glob
of the stuff in the hole or across the rip. It will harden in a
few hours and lasts for ever. You can alos use it over a big tire
patch for real BIG holes.
If you have old waders and the seams leak this stuff can be used
to fixed that too. But fish aqurium cement works great in the seams.
You wouldn't look nice but will stay dry!
Good luck Bassin Bob

383.4 | Shoe GOOP | NYALYF::HORWITZ | Beach Bagel | Tue Jun 23 1987 12:02 | 11 |
| "SHOE GOOP" works pretty good too. It is similar to Boot Patch.
One "cheapy" suggestion to file away for the future:
When I "retire" a pair of waders, I usually cut them down to "deck
boots" (ankle high). They're good in boats, and "sloppy" areas.
I also cut a piece of the leg to save for patching, using GOOP.
(Once when patching a brand new pair, I sacrificed the inside pocket
for patches.)
